• US strikes kill three in Caribbean as Trump’s so-called drug war escalates

US forces have carried out another lethal strike on an alleged drug trafficking vessel in the Caribbean, killing three people, War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced. The operation brings the death toll from President Donald Trump’s so-called anti-narcotics campaign to at least 70.

Since early September, Washington has targeted boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, destroying at least 18 vessels, including a semi-submersible, though it has yet to release a single shred of evidence proving the targets were involved in drug smuggling or posed any threat to the US. Critics have condemned the strikes as extrajudicial killings disguised as counter-narcotics operations.

Trump’s administration has expanded its military footprint across Latin America under the banner of combating drug trafficking, during which they’ve deployed six Navy ships, F-35 jets to Puerto Rico, and the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group.

On Thursday, Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic war powers resolution that would have required Trump to seek congressional authorization for any strikes on Venezuela, leaving his regional campaign unchecked.

  • US seeks to establish military presence at Damascus airbase amid HTS-z¿onist colony normalization deal

The United States is preparing to establish a military presence at an airbase in the Syrian capital Damascus to help enable a normalization pact that Washington is brokering between the Western-backed Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) administration and the zionist regime.
Media outlets citing multiple sources familiar with the matter on Thursday confirmed that the US was planning to use the base to help monitor a potential zionist-Syria agreement.
That deal is being mediated by the US President Donald Trump’s administration.
A US administration official said the US was “constantly evaluating our necessary posture in Syria” to purportedly combat Daesh.
“(We) do not comment on locations or possible locations of (where) forces operate,” the official said.
The media reports, however, revealed that the base reportedly sits at the gateway to parts of southern Syria that are expected to make up a demilitarized zone as part of a so-called non-aggression pact between Israel and Syria.
The US military already has about 2,000 troops in Syria across several bases, mostly in the northeast.
The deployment of US military convoys on Syrian soil comes despite recent announcements by US officials indicating that Washington intends to scale down its military presence in Syria to a single base.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported last month that a US cargo plane carrying soldiers as well as military and logistical supplies had landed in Kharab al-Jir airbase in Rmelan countryside in northern Hasakah.
Trump has also admitted on several occasions that American forces were in the Arab country for its oil wealth.
Trump is now set to meet Western-backed HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, once affiliated with al-Qaeda and Daesh, at the White House on Monday.
The developments come as Syrian forces, dominated by the HTS and other militant groups, have continued to carry out sectarian killings, kidnappings, and persecution across Syria.
The HTS rulers have enjoyed unconditional backing by the United States, Europe and the monarchies of Arab states in the Persian Gulf region with sanctions relief and financial support.

This happened despite Jolani forces killing hundreds of civilians from the Assad family’s sect Alawites, in March. Then came the killing spree in a province called Sweida.
It was also a turning point for the Arab country. To many Syrians, the massacre in Sweida made clear a pattern of HTS-led forces targeting and killing Syrian minorities, with few repercussions.
The Druze minority and Alawite community had a history of supporting the Assad government and standing against Israeli occupation and expansionist policies, including in the occupied Golan Heights.
Rights groups earlier documented the violent deaths of nearly 10,000 people across Syria under the brutal HTS rule.
After the collapse of the al-Assad government last December, Jolani was widely praised by the Western media. An article in the UK’s Telegraph described his armed group, the former al-Qaeda affiliated HTS, as “diversity-friendly militants.”

Trump, during a regional tour, announced a decision to lift all sanctions against the al-Jolani regime in exchange for normalizing ties with Israel.
Jolani has assured the Western countries that Syria will “normalize relations” with Israel, recognize the regime, and exchange ambassadors by the end of 2026.
The HTS-led regime will reportedly hand over the occupied Golan Heights to Israel as part of a looming normalization deal with the illegal entity.

  • Multiple violent zionist airstrikes have hit southern Lebanon; ongoing aggression

Video captures the zionist airstrike on the Lebanese town of Kfar Dounine.

zion¿st colony carried out violent attacks in southern Lebanon on 6 November, after issuing forced displacement orders threatening residents with airstrikes.

The zion¿st occupation army’s Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee said on Thursday afternoon that ‘Tel Aviv’ “[struck] military infrastructure belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah” in Kfar Dounin in Bint Jbeil, to deal with Hezbollah’s prohibited attempts to rebuild its activities in the area.

“We address the residents of the building marked in red on the attached map and the neighboring buildings: you are located near a building used by the terrorist organization Hezbollah – for your safety, you must evacuate the buildings immediately and move at least 500 meters away. Remaining in the area of the marked building puts you at risk,” he added.

The building in Kfar Dounin is residential and lies near a Lebanese army site.

This was the fourth evacuation order within the past two hours, and came after Israeli airstrikes targeting the towns of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Aita al-Jabal, Tayr Dibba, and Taybeh.

Video footage showed massive blasts as a result of the airstrikes. The strike on Tayr Dibba hit near supermarkets and a pharmacy. “The occupation targeted a house and claims it was a military facility belonging to the resistance – this is false,” said ️Tayr Dibba mayor Farid Nanoua to Al Mayadeen. “We remain steadfast in our villages and on our land despite all Israeli attacks … The enemy still has not understood that airstrikes will not intimidate our people – we will remain on our land,” he added.

Earlier on Thursday, Israel carried out an attack targeting the area between the towns of Toura and Abbasiya in south Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes targeted a sawmill and an iron factory, local reports said.

The Israeli army announced in a statement that it “attacked … terrorists operating in terror infrastructure of the ‘construction unit’ in the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Tyre area in southern Lebanon.”

Throughout the entire day, Israeli drones buzzed over Beirut at low altitude.

US officials have been calling on Lebanon to open direct channels of communication with Israel, in violation of the country’s own laws. This has coincided with a significant escalation of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon over the past few weeks. Tel Aviv says Hezbollah is repairing and refilling weapons stocks, and is managing to smuggle in arms and equipment from Syria, despite authorities in Damascus working to intercept the shipments.

Recent Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have destroyed reconstruction equipment to prevent Lebanon from rebuilding. Israel claims the equipment is used by Hezbollah to reconstruct infrastructure.

Over 300 people have been killed by Israel since the ceasefire agreement was reached on 27 November 2024.

Since the start of October 2025 alone, at least 37 Lebanese people have been assassinated by Israeli strikes.

The strike near Tyre on Thursday morning came shortly after Hezbollah issued an open letter to Lebanese government officials reaffirming its right to armed resistance against occupation and calling on Lebanon to reach a “unified and dignified national stance” to Israel’s daily attacks and ceasefire violations.

The resistance slammed and rejected US calls for direct talks between Lebanon and Israel, which it described as “negotiation traps” that would “only grant further gains to the zionist enemy.”

“As a founding component of Lebanon, which we have pledged as a final homeland for all its citizens, we reaffirm our legitimate right to resist occupation and aggression, and to stand alongside our army and our people in defending the sovereignty of our country,” Hezbollah stressed.

  • US asks UN to lifts sanctions on former al-Qaeda member, Syria’s Jolani

The United States has submitted a draft United Nations Security Council resolution that calls for lifting sanctions on Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the head of the HTS-led regime in Syria, ahead of his meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House on November 10.
The draft resolution would also lift sanctions on Syria’s self-proclaimed interior minister, Anas Khattab, who was one of the leaders of the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group, Jabhat al-Nusra.
It was not immediately clear when the draft resolution, seen by Reuters on Tuesday, could be put to a vote.
The HTS, a former branch of al-Qaeda, along with other militants, seized control of Damascus on December 8, 2024, forcing former President Bashar al-Assad, a strong supporter of the Palestinian cause, to leave the country.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently described how the Israeli military helped the HTS takeover of Syria in December.
Since May 2014, the HTS has been on the UN Security Council’s sanctions list.
Its leader, Jolani and Khattab are among several HTS members who are also under UN sanctions that include a travel ban, asset freeze, and arms embargo.

However, a Security Council sanctions committee has been regularly granting Jolani travel exemptions this year.
Thus, the HTS leader is still likely to be able to travel to Washington even if the US-drafted resolution is not adopted before Monday.
In May, Trump announced that all US sanctions on Syria would be lifted.
Trump made the announcement in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, during his visit to the kingdom, where he met with al-Jolani, who expressed readiness to normalize ties between Damascus and Tel Aviv.

  • RSF commander admits to executing 2,000 civilians during Sudan’s El Fasher takeover

Shocking footage has emerged showing a Sudanese militia commander boasting about personally executing more than 2,000 civilians during the takeover of the city of El Fasher in Darfur by the so-called Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF).

Videos circulating on social media show al-Fateh Abdullah Idris, widely known by his nom de guerre Abu Lulu, executing unarmed civilians at point-blank range, which earned him the nickname “Butcher of El-Fasher” and making him the symbol of the massacres in the region.

Abu Lulu, one of the most feared RSF commanders, gained notoriety for appearing in multiple videos overseeing hostage and civilian executions. However, the recent atrocities in El Fasher, where he admitted to personally killing thousands and documented mass killings, mark his most brazen acts of violence.

During a chilling TikTok livestream, Abu Lulu bragged, “I wanted to kill 2,000, but I’m sure the number exceeded 2,000. I lost track, but I’ll do it again starting from zero.”

The footage, which showed other RSF members laughing alongside him, triggered global outrage and led to the swift removal of his account by TikTok for violating community standards.

Abu Lulu, a member of the Mahariya Rizeigat tribe and closely associated with the Dagalo family, joined the RSF in 2013 after receiving military training. His close ties to RSF leader helped him ascend rapidly through the ranks, serving in special operations and later within the intelligence wing.

The RSF, under the leadership of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, captured El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur last week, in one of the deadliest episodes of the ongoing war between the militia group and Sudan’s army, which began in April 2023 and has since caused widespread devastation in Sudan.

In response to international condemnation, Hemedti acknowledged that “violations” had occurred by his forces during the takeover of El-Fasher but claimed that internal investigation committees were being established.

On October 30, the RSF announced the arrest of Abu Lulu and “others involved in violations,” despite previously denying any connection with him.

The latest revelations come as the International Criminal Court (ICC) has intensified efforts to gather evidence of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the RSF’s capture of El Fasher, with a focus on violations since the conflict’s resurgence in April 2023.

The ICC, which has jurisdiction over Darfur under UN Security Council Resolution 1593 (2005), expressed deep concern and alarm over mounting reports of mass killings, sexual violence, and other atrocities carried out by RSF members, stating that these acts could potentially constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute.

The ICC is taking immediate steps to collect and preserve evidence for potential prosecutions, amid growing international concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

The RSF’s recent capture of El Fasher — where thousands of civilians were killed within days – has only intensified scrutiny of the UAE’s role in the bloodshed.

The United Arab Emirates, under the guidance of its senior leadership, has positioned itself as the primary international backer of the Sudanese militia group, providing it with the military and financial sustenance required for a campaign of ethnic cleansing.

The support is apparently not a passive endeavor but an active and deliberate strategy to achieve the UAE’s geopolitical and economic objectives in the Horn of Africa, with Sudan’s vast gold reserves and strategic Red Sea coastline being key prizes.

The UAE’s involvement is so integral that Sudan filed a case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) accusing the nation of being the driving force behind the genocide and violating the Genocide Convention through its support for the RSF.
