Pedophile-billionaire Trump has claimed that Venezuela will send 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the US, with Washington controlling the proceeds, days after it abducted the country’s President Nicolas Maduro.

“I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday.

“This Oil will be sold at its market price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States,” he added.

Trump has threatened Venezuela’s acting leadership, saying officials who do not “do what is right” and allow US access to the country’s oil will face consequences worse than those that befell Maduro.

The announcement came amid US military action in Caracas, which has been widely condemned as blatant exploitation and a violation of Venezuelan sovereignty.

Explosions were reported across the capital in the early hours of Saturday as unmanned aircraft flew overhead, and hours later, Trump reported that Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, had been captured by US Delta Force.

Casualty figures remain uncertain, but reports suggest at least 40 people, including civilians and members of Venezuela’s armed forces, were killed, with some estimates reaching 80.

Acting President Delcy Rodríguez responded firmly on Tuesday before government agricultural and industrial officials, saying “personally, to those who threaten me, my destiny is not determined by them, but by God.”

Trump has said US companies are primed to invest billions to allegedly rebuild Venezuela’s energy infrastructure, falsely claiming the country’s reserves were “stolen” from the US.

The three largest US oil companies, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and ConocoPhillips, have not publicly endorsed the plan, though they are reportedly scheduled to meet Trump to discuss involvement.

Trump has said the US would govern Venezuela temporarily, offering no clear plan or timeline, while repeatedly emphasizing the country’s oil reserves and tying the military aggression directly to their extraction.

Citing international law, experts say no legal claim to natural reserves exists. It means Venezuela’s oil belongs solely to its people.

A huge crowd of mourners filled the streets near Tehran University to attend the funeral of 100 members of the security forces and other martyrs killed during recent foreign-backed riots in Iran.

Caskets draped with Iranian flags were stacked on the back of large trucks and covered with red-and-white roses and framed images of those killed.

“Death to America!” read banners held up by people attending the rally. Demonstrators carried photos of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Funeral processions were also held in the cities of Isfahan and Bushehr, where people reaffirmed their allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

Over the past days, various cities have seen similar ceremonies and mass rallies in condemnation of the foreign-backed terrorism.

A rally in Tehran on January 12 was attended by around three million people, according to Fars News Agency.

Iran’s police officials say they have shown maximum restraint towards the rioters, and tried hard to separate ordinary people concerned with the rising cost of living from rioters and terrorists attacking security forces.

Iran’s Judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei has called for public trial and swift punishments for terrorists who “burned someone, beheaded someone and set them on fire.”

The funeral ceremony of 100 martyrs of the recent foreign-backed riots is scheduled to be held on Wednesday at 2 pm local time in Tehran.

Head of the Martyr Foundation Ahmad Mousavi said the martyrs, including civilians as well as security forces, were killed by different kinds of weapons such as fighting and hunting guns, knives, axes, etc.

According to the chief of Iran’s police, 297 rioters, who had taken part in destroying the common property, have been identified and arrested by police forces.

Two terrorists were also killed and 17 others were injured during the recent days’ operations against terrorists.

The plane used by the U.S. military to strike a boat accused of smuggling drugs off the coast of Venezuela last fall was painted to look like a civilian aircraft, a move that appears to be at odds with the Pentagon’s manual on the laws of war.

The plane, part of a secret U.S. fleet used in surveillance operations, also was carrying munitions in the fuselage, rather than beneath the aircraft, raising questions about the extent to which the operation was disguised in ways that run contrary to military protocol.

Details of the plane’s appearance, first reported Monday by The New York Times, were confirmed by two people familiar with the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson said in a statement that “the U.S. military utilizes a wide array of standard and nonstandard aircraft depending on mission requirements.”

The new details come after the Trump administration’s pressure campaign on Venezuela — which began with it massing military resources in Latin America and attacking a series of alleged drug-smuggling boats, killing at least 115 people — culminated this month in a stunning raid that kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. He and his wife were spirited to the United States to face federal drug trafficking charges.

Alarmed by the actions, the U.S. Senate is preparing to vote this week on a war powers resolution that would prohibit further military action in Venezuela without authorization from lawmakers.

US military guidelines warn against a civilian disguise
However, U.S. military guidelines on the laws of war prohibit troops from pretending to be civilians while engaging in combat. The practice is legally known as “perfidy.”

The Defense Department manual, which runs over 1,000 pages, specifically notes that “feigning civilian status and then attacking” is an example of the practice. An Air Force manual says the practice was prohibited because it means the enemy “neglects to take precautions which are otherwise necessary.”

The Navy’s manual explains that “attacking enemy forces while posing as a civilian puts all civilians at hazard,” and sailors must use offensive force “within the bounds of military honor, particularly without resort to perfidy.”

Wilson said each aircraft goes through a “rigorous procurement process to ensure compliance with domestic law, department policies and regulations, and applicable international standards, including the law of armed conflict.”The plane that was painted as a civilian aircraft was used in a Sept. 2 strike, the first in what would become a monthslong campaign of U.S. deadly military strikes on suspected drug boats with political and policy ramifications for the Trump administration.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other top officials have been called on by Congress to answer questions and concerns about the actions — particularly the first one because it involved a follow-up strike that killed two survivors holding onto the wreckage of the vessel hit in the initial attack.

Legal experts have said the follow-on strike may have been unlawful because striking shipwrecked sailors is considered out of line with laws of war. Some lawmakers have called for the Pentagon to publicly release the unedited video of the operation, which Hegseth has said he will not do.

In a Dec. 1 meeting of Trump’s Cabinet, Hegseth said he “watched that first strike live” but that he left before the follow-up strike.

With the mounting death toll and images of body bags in warehouses in Tehran, CBS News asked Pahlavi on January 12 if it was responsible to demand Iranians take to the streets in the face of mortal danger. Did Pahlavi, the anchor asked, bear any responsibility for the deaths of his fellow Iranians?

“This is a war, and war has casualties,” the former crown prince responded.

Yet what is unfolding in Iran now is not quite the civil war that Pahlavi is invoking. Iranian protesters had come out to streets peacefully — their grievances recognized as valid by the government — not to start a “war.” A civil war is something many Iranians have dreaded ever since witnessing the aftermath of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Syria’s civil strife, which both saw destructive sectarian fighting and, eventually, the atrocities of the Islamic State.

In his long tweet, Pahlavi also got into thornier rhetoric of war. He suggested state-run media buildings were “legitimate targets,” adding, “Government employees, and the armed and security forces, have the opportunity to join the people.”

At least one state broadcaster building was torched by protesters, but this is a far cry from making “targets” out of them. What’s more, government employees who are not directly participating in hostilities are the opposite of “legitimate targets” in the context of war: Attacking civilian infrastructure, even state propaganda organs, is a war crime.

What seems clear is that very few Iranians — and hardly any activists inside Iran and inside prisons — support foreign interference in their affairs or a foreign-imposed regime change.
