Southern Lebanese Village Mayor Condemns False Israeli Claims and Calls for Action

Raif Bzeih, Zebqin village mayor, condemned “Israel’s” false claims that two martyrs from the village were killed by while working on infrastructure for the resistance, asserting that their work was purely civilian. The Lebanese army later confirmed that “no military equipment was present at the site.”

In a statement on behalf of the villagers, he denounced the Lebanese state’s silence and negligence in addressing the unjust killing of its citizens, urging it to fulfill its basic duties to those defending the land. Bzeih emphasized that the only response to such treachery is honorable resistance and bearing arms.

Lebanese Health Ministry reported that two civilians were martyred earlier today when a Zionist drone targeted an excavator and a Rapid vehicle in the area between Zebqin and Al-Shaitiya, South Lebanon.

The Palestinian Children’s Day, celebrated annually on April 5th, is marked this year as the regime’s forces have killed some 19,000 children, including 274 newborn babies and 876 infants below the age of one year, in Gaza since October 2023, Hamas said in a statement on Saturday.

In Gaza, Hamas said, over 1,100 children have been abducted and “around 39,000 have become orphaned by losing one or both parents, while thousands others face the threat of famine, malnutrition, and disease.”

“The fascist occupation continues its systematic targeting of children, using them as human shields, depriving them of education in Gaza.”

Hamas also warned that the resistance group will never forget the regime’s “crimes against our children.”

It reiterated that the international community’s silence, “which is a shameful stain on human rights and humanitarian organizations… emboldens the occupation to escalate its crimes” against innocent Palestinian children.

The resistance group urged “the United Nations and governments to criminalize the occupation and activate its inclusion on the ‘List of Shame’ for perpetrators of crimes against children.”

Hamas also said that human rights organizations need “to assume responsibility in exposing the occupation’s crimes and to work seriously to protect Palestinian children and ensure their rights.”

Marking Palestinian Children’s Day, Palestinian political prisoners’ legal defense and advocacy groups said in a report that at least 350 Palestinian children are currently being held in the Israeli regime’s prisons and military camps across the occupied territories.

The report warned that the Palestinian children “face a wide array of abuses and rights violations including torture, starvation, deprivation of medical care and systematic maltreatment.”

Walid Ahmed, a 17-year-old Palestinian prisoner, became the first child to lose his life in Israel’s prison on March 22, after being held in detention without any charges.

According to the report, Walid “faced systematic crimes, the most notable of which was the crime of starvation, which led to his martyrdom.”

Walid was the 63rd Palestinian who lost his life in the Israeli regime’s detention since it launched in October 2023. Since then, more than 4,000 Palestinians have been abducted by Israeli forces in the West Bank.

According to Palestinian prisoner rights groups, Israel is holding the bodies of 72 Palestinian prisoners who died in its detention centers.

With trust in God, the Yemeni Armed Forces persist, for the fourth consecutive week, to responsibly and effectively confront the American aggression against our country by targeting its warships in the Red Sea.

Over the last few hours, the missile and UAV forces, with the participation of the naval forces, clashed with a number of these warships in the northern Red Sea, including the American aircraft carrier  “Truman” with a number of cruise missiles and drones.

The targeting operation, which lasted for hours, prevented the enemy from launching aggressive attacks on our country during the targeting period.

The naval force of Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting the American supply ship, the aircraft carrier “Truman,” with a ballistic missile.

Yemen’s leadership, people, and army are valiantly fighting the battle of  triumphing for the oppressed Palestinian people, fulfilling religious, moral, and humanitarian duties.

The Armed Forces, with God’s help, will persist to carry out their support and defensive operations until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.

Obtained and verified by The New York Times on Friday, the video recovered from the cellphone of a Palestinian paramedic, later found in a mass grave with 14 other aid workers in Gaza, showed clearly marked ambulances and a fire truck with emergency lights on coming under heavy Zionist gunfire in the southern city of Rafah on March 23.

The nearly seven-minute recording captures the convoy stopping to assist a damaged ambulance when gunfire erupts, hitting the rescue vehicles.

“Filmed from what appears to be the front interior of a moving vehicle, it shows a convoy of ambulances and a fire truck, clearly marked, with headlights and flashing lights turned on, driving south on a road to the north of Rafah in the early morning,” the paper said.

“The convoy stops when it encounters a vehicle that had veered onto the side of the road — one ambulance had been sent earlier to aid wounded civilians and had come under attack. The new rescue vehicles detour to the side of the road.”

The footage shows rescue workers, at least two of whom are wearing uniforms, exiting a fire truck and an ambulance marked with the emblem of the Red Crescent.

“Then, sounds of intense gunfire break out. A barrage of gunshots is seen and heard in the video hitting the convoy,” the paper said.

“The camera shakes, the video goes dark. But the audio continues for five minutes, and the rat-a-tat of gunfire does not stop. A man says in Arabic that there are ‘Israelis’ present.”

Filming from inside one of the vehicles before being killed, the paramedic recites the Muslim declaration of faith, “There is no God but God, Muhammad is His messenger,” and says, “Forgive me, mother. This is the path I chose — to help people. Allahu akbar.”

The footage was presented on Friday to the UN Security Council by the Palestine Red Crescent Society during a press conference moderated by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Newly obtained footage has shed light on the killing of Palestinian aid workers in Gaza by Zionist forces under heavy gunfire, directly contradicting the regime’s earlier claims that the workers were “advancing suspiciously” without headlights or emergency signals.
