Al-Hasakah province: Syrian Democratic Forces foiled a surprise attack carried out last night by ISIS cells on Ghuwayran prison (Al-Sina’a prison) in Al-Hasakah city.
According to SOHR sources, fierce clashes took place around the prison, which hosts thousands of ISIS prisoners, as a group of ISIS cells were attempting to infiltrate and attack guard posts to create a gap into the prison.
Backed by aerial and logistical support from the International Coalition, SDF managed to counter the attackers and kill one of them.
After the attack, security forces have been put on high alert, amid frequent flights by Coalition aircraft over the region.
This coincides with a state of tense calm on all frontlines throughout Syria, after the Syrian transitional government’s decision to extend the ceasefire to 15 days.

The story of the rebranded terrorists
SDF has been engaged in these ISIS detention centres for nearly two decades to ward off the escape and freedom operations carried out by ISIS members.
These attempts to free ISIS inmates in the detention camps have increased under Jolani’s Syria as it is made of the same fabric.
Certainly, the new Syria, led by ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists who call themselves HTS under Jolani, seek to free their allies and fighters.
These recurring ‘freedom’ attempts have been carried out every year ever since Al Baghdadi’s caliphate came to an end, and their remnants and fighters, who are to a greater majority hailed from the West, were detained in prison camps managed by SDF.
Under the rule of Al Baghdadi, when Jolani was his second in command, these terrorists could not maintain their illegitimate Khalifate.
Hence, further deepened alliance with Turkey and the West in conjuction with the redeployment of Hezbollah fighters from Syria to Lebanon due to the onset of the Gaza war reduced the Syrian Al Assad government capability.
So, the rebranded ISIS/Al Qaeda terrorists walked down from Idlib and took over Syria city by city.
