• UK Expands Police Powers After Sweeping Arrests of Palestine Action Supporters

The UK government is moving to further restrict public dissent, granting police greater powers to curb pro-Palestine protests after nearly 500 supporters of the banned Palestine Action group were detained in one day.

The Home Office said in a statement on Sunday that senior officers will be able to consider the “cumulative impact” of previous demonstrations when deciding whether to place restrictions on new ones.

This could include instructing organizers to hold events in different locations if a site has seen repeated protests.

The Home Office said the new powers would be “brought forward as soon as possible.”

At present, police can only ban a march entirely if there is a risk of serious public disorder.

Under the proposed changes, where there have been repeated protests, officers could impose conditions such as moving the event or limiting its duration.

“If a protest has taken place at the same site for weeks on end, and caused repeated disorder, the police will have the authority to, for example, instruct organizers to hold the event somewhere else. Anyone who breaches the conditions will risk arrest and prosecution,” the Home Office said.

According to the Home Office, the review of protest legislation will ensure “powers are sufficient and being applied consistently” and will include consideration of powers to ban protests outright.

British police arrested nearly 500 people in central London during a mass demonstration in support of Palestine Action on Saturday.

The demonstration took place in London’s Trafalgar Square, with protesters calling on the British government to remove the “terrorist” designation of Palestine Action.

The pro-Palestine group, which takes direct action against Israeli weapon factories in the UK and their supply chain, was proscribed by the UK government in July, making it illegal to show any support or affiliation to them.

Israeli leaders in Tel Aviv obviously wield influence over British policy-makers, pushing police crackdown on anti-Israeli protests in the UK, according to a pro-Palestinian activist at the peaceful rally at Trafalgar Square.

Instead of fighting real criminals, the UK police are brutally intimidating pro-Palestinian protesters, wasting the government’s resources on forcefully arresting peaceful demonstrators at the rallies meant to show solidarity with the innocent Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip that were being butchered by the atrocious Israeli regime forces, protesters said.

UK police inspectors found the Met police is completely failing in its jurisdiction, or inadequately managing to deal with real criminals in key crime-fighting areas.

According to an official report by the UK police authority, the law enforcement organization is a failed system with its biggest police force providing an inadequate or failing service in seven of eight key crime-fighting areas, and there are “serious concerns” about its management of dangerous offenders.”

A Whitehall source described the report on the Met police as “devastating.” Police authorities were advised to get their priorities set to deal with the real criminals, instead of wasting the British people’s money on following instructions sent from Tel Aviv.

  • Greta Thunberg mistreated by zion¿st occupation forces in detention, activists say

Activists describe mistreatment after zion¿st colony intercepted Gaza aid flotilla and detained about 450 people.

Several international activists deported from zion#st colony after joining a Gaza aid flotilla have accused zion>st occupation forces of mistreating climate campaigner Greta Thunberg.

The 137 deportees landed in Istanbul on Saturday, including 36 Turkish nationals alongside activists from the United States, Italy, Malaysia, Kuwait, Switzerland, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan and other countries, Turkish officials confirmed.

Turkish journalist and Gaza Sumud Flotilla participant Ersin Celik told local media outlets he witnessed Israeli forces “torture Greta Thunberg,” describing how she was “dragged on the ground” and “forced to kiss the Israeli flag.”Malaysian activist Hazwani Helmi and American participant Windfield Beaver gave similar accounts at Istanbul Airport, alleging Thunberg was shoved and paraded with an Israeli flag.

“It was a disaster. They treated us like animals,” Helmi said, adding that detainees were denied food, clean water, and medication.

Beaver said Thunberg was “treated terribly” and “used as propaganda,” recalling how she was shoved into a room as far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir entered.Italian journalist Lorenzo Agostino, who had been on the flotilla, also cited the treatment of Thunberg.

“Greta Thunberg, a brave woman, is only 22 years old. She was humiliated and wrapped in an Israeli flag and exhibited like a trophy,” he told Anadolu.

Others described severe mistreatment. Turkish TV presenter Ikbal Gurpinar said, “They treated us like dogs. They left us hungry for three days. They didn’t give us water; we had to drink from the toilet … It was a terribly hot day, and we were all roasting.” She said the ordeal gave her “a better understanding of Gaza”.Turkish activist Aycin Kantoglu recounted bloodstained prison walls and messages scrawled by previous detainees. “We saw mothers writing their children’s names on the walls. We actually experienced a little bit of what Palestinians go through,” she said.Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said 26 Italians had been deported, while 15 remained in Israeli custody awaiting expulsion.

Italian MP Arturo Scotto, who was on the flotilla, told reporters, “Those who were acting legally were the people aboard those boats; those who acted illegally were those who prevented them from reaching Gaza.”

Adalah, an Israeli rights group providing legal aid, said that detainees reported being forced to kneel with zip-tied hands for hours, denied medication, and blocked from speaking with lawyers. Israel’s foreign ministry dismissed the claims as “complete lies,” insisting all detainees were treated according to law.

“All of Adalah’s claims are complete lies. Of course, all detainees … were given access to water, food, and restrooms; they were not denied access to legal counsel, and all their legal rights were fully upheld,” a Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson told the news agency Reuters.

zionist colony has faced mounting condemnation for the raid on the flotilla, which saw its navy intercept approximately 40 boats carrying aid to Gaza and detain more than 450 people on board.

Critics say the assault underscores the illegality of zionist blockade, which has cut off the enclave’s 2.3 million residents during Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.

The flotilla, launched in late August, was the latest international effort to break Israel’s siege and deliver aid to Palestinians.

  • Hate crime against Muslims in Peacehaven

Police say they are treating a late-night blaze damaging a mosque as a hate crime – with footage capturing the moment a suspected arsonist started the fire.

The front entrance to the mosque in Peaceheaven in East Sussex – six miles east along the coast from Brighton – was damaged along with a vehicle parked outside.

Sussex Police said in a statement they were called to reports of an arson attack in Phyllis Avenue just before 10pm on Saturday.

They confirmed the incident, in which no one was injured, was being treated as a hate crime.

Video appeared to show a man in a black jacket at the entrance to the Peacehaven mosque seconds before the flames erupted.

At least one person is believed to have been inside the Peace Community Centre and Mosque in Peacehaven when the blaze took hold – while two men could been seen in a video near a car which was also burnt out in the aftermath.

Det Supt Karrie Bohanna said: ‘We understand the concerns this has caused within the community, and the impact that will be felt by the Muslim community as a result.

‘There is already an increased police presence at the scene and there are also additional patrols taking place to provide reassurance at other places of worship across the county.Worshippers had only just left after the last prayer service of the day when the mosque was attacked.

The volunteer, who asked not to be named, said: ‘Evening prayers finished, so most people had left the mosque.

‘They came in balaclavas and sprayed gasoline on the entrance and the few steps – they put it on the door, the entrance and the vehicle parked outside.

‘They threw something at it and the vehicle blew up. The fire reached the entrance to the mosque.

‘People around phoned the fire brigade straight away. Two people inside the mosque got out as soon as they could. The chairman, who is an elderly man in his 60s, ran out it just before the car was blown to pieces.’

The volunteer said he believes this was a targeted attack by men intent on murdering Muslims, adding: ‘It’s clearly a targeted attack.

‘They were trying to gain access to the mosque – we believe to commit murder.

Despite only having a small congregation, the volunteer told of fears among the the Muslim community of local tensions rising, saying: ‘There has been a rise in racism around here recently.

‘It’s a quiet area, there’s only a few Muslim people here. Everyone here is affected – it’s a small community of Muslims.

‘Our neighbours, who are not Muslims, came out crying. We have good relations with everybody who lives around.

‘Everyone is obviously scared, we don’t know what’s going to happen.’

  • Western-backed “free & democratic” self-serving voting style in post Assad Syria

Voting begins in Syria’s first post-Assad parliamentary election without public participation –

Voting began Sunday across most Syrian governorates in what officials call the first parliamentary election under the “new Syria.”

The vote marks the country’s first since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in December 2024.

While security forces were deployed to maintain calm, polling was limited to certain areas as elections were postponed in Raqqa, al-Hasakah, and Suwayda due to instability.

Crucially, the Syrian public is not directly participating in this election. Instead, representatives are being chosen through an indirect system where local electoral colleges—not voters—select two-thirds of the 210 parliamentary seats, with the rest appointed by Julani of HTS terrorists.

  • Sheikh Qassem: Trump Plan on Gaza Dangerous, Hezbollah Foiled Post-War Scheme

    Marwa Haidar
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem warned on Saturday that US President Donald Trump’s plan on Gaza is full of risks and in favour of zion¿st interests.

In a memorial service of martyrs senior Hezbollah official Sheihk Nabil Qawouk, commander Sayyed Suhail Al-Husseini, Sheikh Qassem call on regional countries to confront the danger zionist scheme of “Greater Israel”, stressing that such a threat risks the entire region.

Commenting on Hamas’s response to Trump’s plan, Sheikh Qssem voiced confidence that “surrender is not an option for the Palestinian people who have offered sacrifices.”

His eminence said that Lebanon is in the eye of the storm due to the ongoing zionist attacks, that is fully backed by the US.

Sheikh Qassem said the resistance behavior after the brutal 66-day zionist war foiled the Israeli-US scheme aimed at subduing Lebanon, stressing that the resistance relies on the faithful ad determined people.

He called on the Lebanese Government to take action in a bid to restore national sovereignty and to place reconstruction as one of top priorities.

Trump Plan “Israeli One in US Cover”

Sheikh Qassem warned that the Zionist entity works towards “Greater Israel” project and US offers full support, noting that: “What we have seen in Gaza over the past two years is a part of this project that Netanyahu clearly announced a month ago.”

He called on regional countries to confront this danger.

“We all have to face this danger because everyone is at risk in Lebanon and the entire region.”The Hezbollah S.G. described Trump’s plan on Gaza as dangerous, noting that amendments made on it serves the interest of the Zionist entity.

“Israel wants to gain in politics what it failed to take in military action, aggression, genocide and other atrocities. The plan stipulates that Israel control the land in terms of security, disarm the resistance and impose an int’l administration rather than a Palestinian one.”

“This means stripping the resistance of its points of strengths. The plan is compatible with Israeli 5-principle plan to end the war, it’s an Israeli plan in a US cover,” Sheikh Qassem said further.

Israel in State of Decline Internationally

Meanwhile, he noted that the US president wanted through this plan to polish the image of the Zionist entity at the international level, adding that most countries in the world support a Palestinian state and oppose the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Sheikh Qassem hailed the International Sumud Flotilla over its support for the besieged Gaza.

“The International Sumud Flotilla shows what level of decline and decadence Israel has reached.”

His eminence saluted Spain over its pro-Palestine position, describing its stance as “courageous at the level of government and people.”

He hoped that that positions of Arab countries would echo those of Spain.

On the other hand, Sheikh Qassem said: “We know that surrender is not an option for the Palestinian people who have offered sacrifices and faced genocide, starvation, and displacement.”

    Lebanon in Eye of Storm

On the Lebanese affairs, the Hezbollah leader said Lebanon is in the eye of the storm due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, that is fully backed by the US.

“The Israeli enemy continues to exert pressure in Lebanon, through the US threats and the daily attacks targeting civilians, engineers, families and all forms of life in the country,” Sheikh Qassem said.

He noted that Lebanon’s enemies expected that they could achieve in politics what they failed to achieve in military action during the latest war in late 2024.

Sheikh Qassem said the resistance foiled the enemies’ post-war scheme on several levels. He pointed out that the Israeli enemy expected that Hezbollah would retaliate for ceasefire violations in a bid to take such actions as a pretext to step up the aggression.“We decided that the Lebanese state is responsible and we have to be patient, so we thwarted this plan.”

Sheikh Qassem added that the US wanted to exclude Hezbollah from the state posts, but it was surprised that the resistance party participated actively in the state.

He stated that the US interfered in details related to the ministerial and other state posts in a bid to achieve through politics what they were unable to achieve through war.

“However, it became clear that the internal balance of powers does not allow them to do so because we represent our people completely. Hezbollah and Amal Movement represent their people completely, 27 out of 27 seats in the Parliament,” Sheikh Qassem said, referring to the Shiite seats at the Lebanese Parliament.

His eminence said that according to the US-Israeli scheme a strife between the resistance and the Lebanese Army was planned.

“The Lebanese army acted wisely, and in a constructive way. Both the army and Hezbollah are keen to preserve understanding and cooperation.”

“It is true that there is no military parity between us and Israel. They are superior in military power, but we are superior determination. We stick to our homeland, believe in our rights and we are prepared for sacrifice and jihad. We have a great, historic people who cannot be defeated,” Sheikh Qassem stated.

In this context, Sheikh Qassem affirmed that “neither Israel, nor US will be able to move forward because we have a strong and faithful people who are determined and know that the path of surrender is the path of annihilation.”

    Restoring Sovereignty Lebanese Gov’t Duty

Sheikh Qassem then addressed the Lebanese Government, stressing that its duty to restore national sovereignty.

He wondered: “What have you done to restore sovereignty? The key to restoring sovereignty is to expel ‘Israel’ from Lebanon and stop the aggression.”Sheikh Qassem said the Lebanese government must do more in a bid to stop the aggression and restore national sovereignty.

“You must contact int’l powers, exert pressure, file complaints at the Security Council, and move more to restore sovereignty.”

Meanwhile, his eminence called on the Lebanese Government to place reconstruction “at the top of its priorities, as stipulated in the Ministerial Statement.”

On the electoral law, Sheikh Qassem stressed that it must be based on unified standards.

He tackled the expatriate voting, emphasizing that Hezbollah in supports fair representation in this regard.

In this context, he said: “If some parties want an expatriate voting that suits foreign dictates we say it won’t pass as it contradicts true citizenship.”

  • While zionist colony kills 46 in Gaza, Trump expresses appreciation for stopping the bombing

Since Hamas’ preliminary acceptance of the so-called peace agreement, Trump has threatened to immediately arrange for the release of zion¿st prisoners.

I appreciate that zionist colony has temporarily stopped the bombing in order to give the Hostage release and Peace Deal chance to be completed. Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off
will not tolerate delay, which many
think will happen, or any outcome
where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, FAST. Everyone wil be treated fairly!

    Trump

Yesterday, in a detailed statement, Hamas declared its commitment to the 20-point agreement by Trump.

    🚨🟢 BREAKING – Hamas:

Regarding the Hamas Movement’s Response to the Proposal of U.S. President Trump

Out of keenness to stop the aggression and the war of extermination to which our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip are being subjected, and based on national responsibility, and out of concern for the constants, rights, and supreme interests of our people, the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” conducted in-depth consultations within its leadership institutions, wide-ranging consultations with Palestinian factions and forces, and consultations with brother mediators and friends, to reach a responsible position in dealing with the plan of American President Donald Trump.

After extensive study, the Movement has made its decision and submitted its following response to the brother mediators:

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, and the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, calling for an immediate halt to the war on the Gaza Strip, the exchange of prisoners, the immediate entry of aid, the rejection of the occupation of the Strip, and the rejection of the displacement of our Palestinian people from it.

In this context, and in a manner that achieves a cessation of the war and a complete withdrawal from the Strip, the Movement announces its approval to release all “israeli” captives, living and deceased, according to the exchange formula mentioned in President Trump’s proposal, provided that the field conditions for the exchange process are secured. In this regard, the Movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details thereof.

The Movement also renews its approval to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independents (technocrats) based on Palestinian national consensus and based on Arab and Islamic support.

As for the other issues mentioned in President Trump’s proposal concerning the future of the Gaza Strip and the authentic rights of the Palestinian people, this is linked to a comprehensive national position and based on relevant international laws and resolutions, and it will be discussed through a comprehensive Palestinian national framework of which Hamas will be a part and to which it will contribute with full responsibility.

Trump reading Hamas’ response to the peace agreement.

Let us be clear, Hamas has been coerced into this decision by the Sunni leaders of Qatar Turkey and Egypt, who have threatened to cease support upon Hamas’ rejection.

Genuinely, there is no choice left if Trump openly promises that aid would be allowed into Gaza if the Resistance agrees to the peace scheme.

Trump openly confesses that there is an existing deliberate humanitarian aid embargo.

zionist colony has killed at least 46 Palestinians in its attacks across Gaza, 37 of them in Gaza City, according to medical sources.

It is wrong to hand over Gaza on a gold plate to the zionist-american entity!

Once the war ends, the Muslim leaders and oil Sheikhs will start investing in Gaza’s economy and generate proceeds, and Palestinians will become consumers, forgetting about the genocide and famine.

Every other year, a new “Operation Cast Lead” or “Protective Edge” will be sweeping through the enclave, provided it does not conclude in the Trumpian Gaza Riviera prospect.

  • Global Sumud Flotilla Detainees Go on Hunger Strike After zion¿st Attack

Activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla have gone on hunger strike since they were abducted by zion¿st forces in international waters while they were trying to take humanitarian aid to Gaza and break z?onist blockade of the strip.

On Friday, the International Committee to Break the Siege of Gaza said in a statement that several activists held aboard the vessels “announced that they have entered an open-ended hunger strike from the moment of their detention.”

The announcement comes as the Israeli military seized the final boat of the Global Sumud Flotilla, once a 44-strong fleet.

Livestream video showed Israeli forces forcing their way onboard the Polish-flagged Marinette, which reportedly has a crew of six, on Friday morning.

Speaking via video call with flotilla organizers late on Thursday, the Australian captain, who identified himself only as Cameron, explained that the vessel initially had engine issues and was therefore lagging behind the main group.

He said the boat is now “steaming” towards Gaza.

“We have a bunch of very tough Turks onboard … we’ve got a lady from Oman and myself, and we’re just going to continue in the direction,” Cameron added.

According to live geo tracker, the ship was intercepted in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea, some 43 nautical miles (about 80km) from Gaza’s territorial waters.

Since Wednesday, the Israeli navy has illegally intercepted flotilla vessels as they neared Gaza, detaining about 500 activists from more than 40 countries.

Several high-profile figures, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, former Barcelona mayor Ada Colau, and Member of European Parliament Rima Hassan, are among those abducted.

The zionist attack has been met with worldwide protests, including in European countries such as Italy, Belgium, and Scotland.

Since March 2, when zionist colony violated its ceasefire agreement with Hamas, the regime has sealed all border crossings into the enclave, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and further deepening Gaza’s already dire humanitarian crisis.

The brutal blockade has pushed the famine-linked death toll to 453 people, including 150 children.

zionist colony has so far killed at least 66,225 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since it launched the genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

  • zion>st colony carries out airstrikes in southern Lebanon in violation of ceasefire; 3 killed

At least three people have been killed and several others wounded in z¿onist air attacks on southern Lebanon, medical officials say, in the latest violation of a fragile ceasefire between the Tel Aviv regime and the Arab country that took effect in November 2024.
In a report on Thursday, Lebanon’s official National News Agency cited the Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the Lebanese Health Ministry as saying that two men were targeted in an air raid that hit a car as it was traveling along a road linking the town of Jarmaq to the al-Khardali area.
The victims were later identified as engineers Ahmad Sa’ad and Mustafa Rizk, residents of Kfarreman region, located northeast of Nabatieh, who were on a mission to inspect the damage caused by ongoing Israeli aggression against the nearby towns.
Separately, one person was killed and five people were injured in an zionist drone strike in the Nabatieh governorate of southern Lebanon.

NNA said that the strike targeted a car in the town of Kafra in the Bint Jbeil district.
After nearly 14 months of war marked by heavy losses and the failure to achieve its objectives in the aggression against Lebanon, Israel was forced to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah, which came into effect on November 27, 2024.
Since then, Israeli forces have been carrying out attacks on Lebanon, which involve airstrikes, breaching the ceasefire.

On January 27, Lebanon announced its decision to extend the ceasefire with Israel until February 18.
This comes as Israel also maintains its occupation of five important locations in southern Lebanon, including Labbouneh, Mount Blat, Owayda Hill, Aaziyyeh, and Hammamis Hill, all of which are located near the border.
