    Yemeni Supreme Political Council:
    —
Targeting civilians proves U.S. weakness; this will not deter us from supporting Gaza but will instead escalate the situation to something even stronger and more severe.

We reassure the steadfast Yemeni people and affirm that the aggressors will be punished in a professional and painful manner.

The U.S., along with the zionist entity, will fail and retreat in disgrace and defeat, just as they did during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle.

We call on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in the face of U.S.-“israeli” recklessness, which will have consequences for all.

Yemeni naval operations will continue until the siege on Gaza is lifted and humanitarian aid is allowed in.

U.S. airstrikes on Yemen mark a return to the militarization of the Red Sea and pose a real threat to international navigation in the region.

  • At least nine martyrs, including two journalists, in fresh Zionist colony attack in Gaza

Palestinian sources reported that 9 martyrs were killed when Zionist enemy aircraft targeted a vehicle carrying a group of workers from the “Al-Khair” organization in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to the sources, the enemy forces fired at the vehicle carrying the journalists, noting that they were filming a televised report using a drone.

Almasirah Net correspondent reported that the enemy entity’s attack resulted in the martyrdom of all journalists and field crews who were in the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Ministry of Health stated that a number of martyrs, injured individuals arrived at the Indonesian Hospital, including critical cases, due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip.

For its part, the Palestinian Resistance Committees mourned the martyrs who were killed in the Zionist enemy’s bombing of the Al-Khair organization’s vehicle in the Beit Lahia area.

The committees said in a statement “The crime of killing the martyrs in the Al-Khair organization’s vehicle is a new Zionist crime added to the crimes of the Zionist enemy and the ongoing aggression on all areas of the Gaza Strip, as well as a new violation of the ceasefire agreement, which the fascist enemy has failed to uphold.”

“Targeting journalists and employees of charitable organizations has become a recurring scene carried out by the Zionist enemy with a deliberate and calculated policy to kill the truth and halt charitable work, ultimately aiming to kill both lives and people,” it added.

The statement called on the mediators to fulfill their role in overseeing the ceasefire agreement and to pressure the Zionist entity to compel it to implement its obligations.

The Israeli occupation halted the entry of all aid supplies to Gaza on March 2, hours after the first phase of its fragile ceasefire deal with the Palestinian group Hamas expired, raising fears of deepening hunger and more hardships for the territory’s population.
The occupation regime has also cut electricity to a crucial water desalination plant, threatening Gaza’s potable water supply.

Rights organizations have accused ‘Israel’ of crimes against humanity and violations of international laws for cutting off aid to Gaza.

  • Thousands of Syrian Alawites sheltering at Russian base one week after state massacres

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorists have carried out 54 massacres since 6 March, killing at least 1,476 Alawite civilians in the country’s coastal areas.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that about 9,000 people were seeking refuge at Hmeimim, an air base established by Russia as part of its 2015 intervention in the US-backed war that began in 2011 to topple the Syrian government of former president Bashar al-Assad.

Thousands of people have been sheltering at the Hmeimim Air Base near the coastal city of Jablah since 7 March, when extremist militants went from house to house in predominantly Alawite towns and villages, killing residents and looting and burning their homes.

A few Alawites have left the base, seeking to return to their houses.

Reuters reported on 14 March that Rana Boushieh, 34, returned to her village, Al-Sanobar, on 13 March. Her brother reassured her that the situation had stabilized and encouraged her to return home, arranging for her to be escorted by government security forces.

However, others were scared to leave.

“Honestly, there is definitely fear, but God willing, things will get better, God willing,” she said.

Boushieh headed for the base with her family as the massacres were beginning.

After being awoken by gunfire, she and her family quickly fled to another area of the village before escaping with other residents to Hmeimim, located 11 km away.

“In the Syrian coastal region, Reuters journalists saw many homes and shops torched and looted, and villages largely deserted, during a visit to the area on Thursday, on which they were accompanied by government security personnel,” the British news agency reported.

One man speaking with Reuters said he found the bodies of his brother and nephew upon returning to Al-Sanobar. He preferred to remain anonymous out of fear for his safety.

The name of a Sunni extremist armed group linked to the government had been written in graffiti on walls in several places.

“You brought this upon yourselves,” said one slogan.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on 14 March that government-linked forces have carried out 54 massacres since 6 March, killing at least 1,476 Alawite civilians.

On Friday, the SOHR accused some international human rights organizations of “misrepresenting the violence as a conflict between warring factions, rather than acknowledging the atrocities as systematic massacres.”

Russia is trying to keep good relations with the new Syrian government, which is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) – Al-Qaeda’s offshoot in Syria that Moscow fought against during the 2015 intervention.

HTS militants ousted Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s government and took power in December last year. Russian forces did not intervene on behalf of Assad’s government as they had in the past.

Late last month, Reuters reported that Israel is lobbying the United States to keep Syria weak and decentralized, including by letting Russia keep its military bases there to counter Turkiye’s growing influence in the country.

  • Zionist jets bomb Damascus outskirts as tanks advance deeper in Quneitra

The Zionist enemy has carried out an airstrike on the outskirts of Damascus and its tanks have advanced into the southwestern Quneitra region in the latest aggression against Syria since the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad.

Media reports, quoting sources, said Zionist  aircraft targeted a residential building in northwest of Damascus on Thursday.

A short video published by the Zionist colony’s military showed an explosion at the edge of a building followed by thick plumes of smoke. Local paramedics said at least three people were wounded in the latest attack.

A series of Israeli aerial raids also hit the town of Kiswah, south of Damascus, and several parts of the Dara’a province.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Israeli forces advanced into the countryside in the al-Quneitra region with tanks and military vehicles, detonating former military sites.

In a brazen declaration of expansionist Zionist ambitions, a Zionist Knesset member last week openly called for Syria to be placed under the regime’s full control.

Boaz Bismuth said Zionist enemy “will not allow a military force to emerge in Syria after Assad’s fall.”

Zionist enemy prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently said the regime will not tolerate the presence of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) or any other forces affiliated with the new rulers in southern Syria.

He also said Zionist troops will remain stationed at a so-called “buffer zone” inside the occupied Golan Heights, seized following the fall of President Assad.

The buffer zone was created by the United Nations after the 1973 Arab-Zionist War. A UN force of about 1,100 troops had patrolled the area since then.

Netanyahu said the regime’s forces will maintain an indefinite military presence at the summit of Mount Hermon, and the adjacent zone.

Following the downfall of Assad, the Israeli military has been launching airstrikes against military installations, facilities, and arsenals belonging to Syria’s now-defunct army.

The strikes were accompanied by ground incursions, as tanks and armored bulldozers penetrated Syrian territory, beyond the Golan Heights to Qatana, barely 30 kilometers from Damascus.

Israel has been condemned for the termination of the 1974 ceasefire agreement with Syria, and exploiting the chaos in the country in the wake of Assad’s downfall to make a land grab.

Former al-Qaeda affiliate the HTS took control of Damascus in early December in a stunning offensive, prompting Israel to move forces into a UN-monitored demilitarized zone within Syria.

The Israeli regime has occupied some 600 kilometers of Syrian territory since the fall of Assad.

The HTS remained conspicuously silent on the unprecedented Israeli aggression, refusing to condemn the land theft, a move seen by regional experts as a sign of internal instability.

The developments also come as the HTS militants and armed opposition groups recently engaged in deadly confrontations in the country’s northwestern coastal region.

More than 1,540 people, the majority of them civilians, have been killed so far in the violence in the provinces of Tartus, Latakia, Hama and Homs, according to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Most of the civilians were killed in close-range shootings by foreign-backed HTS militants.

The resistance groups in Syria have accused the new Western-backed HTS rulers of perpetrating massacres of minority communities, warning of an “endless conflict” ahead if the international community did not take immediate measures to halt the violence.

Iran and several regional nations have condemned what Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei called the “unjustifiable” killing of civilians across Syria.
