At least five Yemeni civilians were wounded on Saturday after coming under fire from the Saudi enemy in the border district of Shada, Sa’adah province, in a new crime added to the ongoing record of attacks against border areas and civilians.
A local correspondent reported that Saudi gunfire targeted residential areas, leaving the civilians injured and transferred for medical treatment, amid continued threats posed by Saudi forces to border villages.
The incident comes as part of repeated Saudi enemy attacks on Sa’adah’s border districts, constituting a blatant violation of international laws and conventions and underscoring the continued targeting of civilians and their property, despite claims of de-escalation promoted by the aggression.
Sa’adah’s border districts have faced sustained Saudi attacks for years, including shelling and small-arms fire on populated areas, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to homes and infrastructure, in ongoing breach of international humanitarian law.
