During a live broadcast on Al-Ghad TV, occupation warplanes carried out two successive airstrikes on the reception department of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The first strike targeted the fourth floor of the reception building, followed by a second strike as civil defense and ambulance teams rushed to evacuate the wounded and recover the martyrs.
The attacks led to the martyrdom of journalist and Reuters photographer Hussam Al-Masri, Al Jazeera photojournalist Mohammad Salama, correspondent for AP and The Independent Mariam Abu Daqa, and journalist Moaz Abu Taha after succumbing to his wounds, and the injury of several others, including photojournalist for Reuters, Hatem Omar.
The Ministry Health reported that at least 8 martyrs and numerous injuries resulted from the twin strikes on the hospital.
The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that firefighter Imad Abdel Hakim Al-Shaer was martyred and 7 other members of the Khan Younis Civil Defense team were injured while attempting to rescue the wounded and recover the martyrs following the occupation’s strike on the Nasser Medical Complex.
A fifth journalist, Ahmad Abu Aziz, has succumbed to his wounds sustained earlier today in the zionist attack on Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.
