Photos of the Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz nuclear facilities in Iran after they were targeted with a total of 14 GBU-57 bombs by American B2 stealth warplanes, in violation of the NPT. In addition, over 30 BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched by American submarines.

The GBU-57 bomb is not an ordinary bomb; the GPS-guided bomb weighs 30,000 lbs (14 tons) in total and is designed to penetrate over 60 meters (200 feet) before its 6,000 lbs warhead detonates.

It is the first time that it has ever been used, and it is the successor to the “Mother of All Bombs,” the American GBU-43, weighing 21,600 lbs in total, which was used for the first time in 2017 in Afghanistan.

The US used 14 of their GBU-57s, which is over half of their estimated stockpile.

While the IOF’s US-provided 2,000 lbs bunker buster bombs have caused extensive damage in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, even their most destructive bombs (BLU-109 and GBU-28)—like those used against Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah—penetrate about 10% of the depth of the GBU-57 and weigh one sixth as much.

Fordow is one of the most hardened targets, at a depth of 90-110 meters under rock, which requires repeated bombing by such bombs for its destruction. American warplanes launched the GBU-57s in quick succession to deepen the impacts. However, Natanz centrifuges are about ~50 meters deep. There is no risk of radiation leakage, and the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (the only operation nuclear power plant, not a facility used for enrichment like the others) has not been targeted.

The Economist, a media arm of the US-zionist military, publishes that the fortified Fordow nuclear facility in Iran cannot be destroyed by American bunker-buster bombs and “can only be destroyed by nuclear weapons or ground forces.” This followed from America’s first-ever bombing of Iran this morning using its most powerful non-nuclear bombs.

This media incitement paves the way for further zionist-American bombing, to attempt to achieve “israel’s” stated goals of “destroying Iran’s nuclear program.” Zionist media reported that the US and “israel” are coordinating in strikes of Iranian air defense sites, after the US provided the IOF with a list of targets.

While the extent of the current destruction to Fordow is unclear at this time, the US and “israel” are attempting to pave the way for more bombing, especially following Trump’s statement tying the continuation of US bombings of Iran to a cessation of fighting between Iran and “israel.”
