Sudan Accuses UAE of Genocide Ahead of ICJ Hearing

Sudan claims it has enough evidence to prove the UAE’s involvement in genocide against its people, ahead of an International Court of Justice (ICJ) hearing on the matter.

Government spokesperson Khaled Al-Ayser accused Abu Dhabi of supporting the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Darfur, fueling the genocide against the Massalit tribe. Sudan is seeking urgent action from the ICJ to halt UAE support for the RSF and compensation for war victims.

In response, an unnamed Emirati official dismissed the claims as baseless and part of a “propaganda stunt.” Sudan’s army recently regained control of Khartoum after intense fighting with the RSF, which has led to tens of thousands of deaths and displaced over 12 million people.
