Turkish-‘Israeli’ Maritime Trade Surges Despite Ankara’s Official Boycott Claims

Sources in maritime navigation have revealed a striking paradox, showing commercial shipping between Turkish ports and the port of occupied Palestine continues and is even increasing, despite Ankara’s repeated announcements of cutting trade ties with the Israeli occupation entity.

The sources pointed out that Turkish trade activity with “Israel” increased particularly between May 3 and December 7, 2024, a timeframe during which Ankara officially declared a halt to commercial relations with the ‘Israeli’ entity.

Statistics compiled by the maritime sources show that the maritime trade volume between the two countries not only persisted but intensified. Over 340 maritime shipping trips were recorded, involving 108 ships that sailed from Turkish ports to Israeli ports during the period from May to December 2024.
