The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an alliance of anti-terror fighters, has conducted two consecutive attacks on ‘Israeli’ sites within the occupied territories.

In a statement, the resistance group said it launched a drone strike on a “vital target” in southern occupied areas on Sunday. Later that same day, the group claimed responsibility for another drone attack on a “military target” in the south.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq said the attacks were carried out “in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon” and in response to Israel’s massacres against civilians, including women, children and the elderly.

The resistance vowed to continue striking Israeli sites at an “increasing pace”, stating the operations were a reaction to Israel’s ongoing aggression.

Since the start of Israel’s aggression on Gaza last October, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has conducted similar attacks against sensitive targets across the occupied territories. This latest barrage comes amid a broader escalation, as Hezbollah in Lebanon has also retaliated against Israeli strikes.
