Explainer on Zionist Dahiyeh aggression, ‘Lebanese Army’ site inspection & balance of the damage
Al-Manar reveals details on the Zionist aggression on Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, on Thursday, especially regarding the inspection process at the threatened buildings.
Al-Manar correspondent Mona Tahini revealed that following the evacuation threats issued by the Zionist occupation army, there was communication between Lebanon and the United States.
“A proposal was presented that the Lebanese Army inspects the threatened buildings and Hezbollah agreed,” our correspondent said.An Israeli preliminary strike, known as a “roof knock”, targeted one of the buildings as a unit of the Lebanese Army was in, Al-Manar’s Tahini reported.
The Lebanese Army force didn’t find weapons at the building, she reported, citing security sources.

He stated that a warehouse in one of them, which Israel claimed was a Hezbollah UAV production facility, was completely empty. Tenants were not even allowed to use it, he said, in order to ensure comfort and avoid any potential risks.
He added that he had personally contacted the Lebanese army to inspect the site and confirm it was empty. However, according to him, the moment the army arrived, an Israeli strike was launched.
He also stressed that the warehouse sustained only minor damage and remains accessible, inviting live television crews to go and see for themselves how deserted and empty it is.

Palestinian Resistance Strikes Painfully: 17 Zionist Soldiers Dead or Injured in Khan Younis, Southern Gaza
A new powerful blow was dealt by the Palestinian resistance to the Zionist occupation forces in Gaza Strip when 17 soldiers were either killed or injured in an ambush in Khan Younis.
In details, Israeli media outlets reported that 5 soldiers were dead and 12 others were wounded, including 2 in critical conditions, after the explosion of a booby-trapped building in which a force from the Maglan unit was located in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist media indicated that helicopters evacuated the 12 injured soldiers to the hospitals, noting that another serious incident was taking place in the Strip.
An Israeli strike on Friday afternoon killed six Palestinians and injured others in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA news agency.
They said that an Israeli fighter jet targeted a house belonging to the Najjar family in Jabalia Al-Balad, claiming the lives of six and injuring others.
Earlier today, an Israeli combat drone targeted a charging point for cell phones between tents sheltering displaced people to the west of Khan Younis, claiming the lives of four and injuring others, at a time when Israeli occupation forces opened fire at an aid distribution center to the west of Rafah, claiming the lives of four.
‘Israel’ unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.
The death toll reached at least 4,402 with 13,489 others wounded, according to medical sources. Emergency teams are attempting to recover victims still trapped beneath the rubble.
In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 70 dead Palestinians, including three bodies retrieved from the rubble, and 189 casualties were admitted to hospitals in the Strip, noting that these numbers exclude the fatalities and casualties in the northern Strip due to inaccessibility.
The aggression was resumed amidst concerns over the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Strip given the ongoing siege and ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid.
‘Israel’ has waged a genocidal war on the Strip since October 2023, killing at least 54,677 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 125,530 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.Al Manar report

New Zionist Strikes Kill Dozens, Including Four Journalists, in Gaza
More than three dozen people, including four journalists, have been killed in the latest Zionist colony attacks across the Gaza Strip as the regime presses ahead with its genocidal war.
Media reports said at least 40 people were killed in Thursday’s attacks. This includes four journalists.
The source said the journalists lost their lives when an Israeli drone struck the grounds of the al-Ahali Hospital, also known as the Baptist Hospital, in Gaza City.
The source identified the victims as Sulaiman Hajjaj, Ismail Badah, Samir Al-Rifa’i, and Ahmed Qalaja.
Several other journalists and their relatives were injured in the aerial attack.
Fadel Naim, a doctor at the hospital in Gaza City, said the medical facility targeted by the Israeli army for the eighth time this morning had been reopened just two weeks ago.
“Suddenly, we heard a big explosion,” Naim said of the drone attack.
Figures show that Israeli forces have killed over 230 journalists and media workers since the regime’s genocidal war started in the Gaza Strip more than 19 months ago.
The Gaza Health Ministry said at least 70 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
The latest attack targeted tents in al-Mawasi refugee camp, leaving several people dead. Several people were killed in an earlier attack on Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Israeli artillery fire also targeted eastern Gaza.
Hamas condemns Israel’s latest attack on the Gaza hospital
The Palestinian resistance movement said in a Monday statement that Israel had committed a “new crime” against Palestinians in Gaza.
“The occupation’s targeting of journalists is a systematic crime aimed at silencing them and obliterating their testimony to its crimes.
Hamas also called on the international community to “take urgent action to protect journalists and hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes.”
In a separate development on Wednesday, the US vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the only country to do so.
The new resolution “demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza respected by all parties.”
Underlining the “catastrophic humanitarian situation” in the Palestinian territory, the resolution additionally demands the lifting of all restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
It was the Security Council’s first vote on the subject since November 2024, when the US blocked a text calling for an end to the Israeli campaign of genocide.
The Israeli military keeps slaughtering Palestinian civilians in besieged Palestinian territory, as it continues to hit the blockaded territory with air and artillery strikes.
The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far claimed the lives of over 54,670 Palestinians. Most of the victims are women and children.Al Masirah report

Syria’s Alawites Targeted Again Amid Rising Violence
Syria’s Alawite communities are facing a new wave of violence, particularly in central regions and the western coastal areas, leaving at least 18 people dead in less than 48 hours. The escalation includes roadside executions, abductions, and arson attacks, with no official response so far from the country’s leadership.
One of the most brutal incidents occurred when a minibus carrying seven Alawite workers from their jobs in Barzeh, near Damascus, was ambushed on its return route. Six of the passengers, five restaurant workers and the bus driver, were found dead, while the seventh remains missing. Initially believed to be kidnapped, their families reported them missing before the bodies were discovered in the abandoned vehicle.
In addition, another public transport minibus was attacked in broad daylight near the village of Rabia in Hama countryside. The area is controlled by a hardline faction affiliated with the Defense Ministry. 10 people, including three women, were killed on the spot. Shocking footage filmed by members of Syria’s Security Forces appeared to confirm that the attack came from the checkpoint controlled by the same faction. Yet, like the previous incident, there has been no official statement or investigation.
Further violence erupted near the coastal city of Jableh, where the villages of Dalyeh and Beit Ana were raided by armed groups linked to the newly formed Defense Ministry. Three villagers were killed and others kidnapped, while homes, shops, vehicles, a school, and a sports club were torched and vandalized.
Amid this chaos, the Syrian authorities imposed a curfew on the two villages, claiming it was a response to an alleged attack on an empty telecommunications building. However, local sources revealed to Al-Akhbar that “the real motive was an attempt to expel a hardline faction stationed in the nearby village of Qurfays, which repeatedly launched assaults on surrounding villages and defied earlier withdrawal orders.”
Residents dismissed the official narrative and called for independent investigative committees to visit the scene and uncover the truth. The Syrian authorities later announced the end of the curfew, as well as arresting some of “those involved in the attack on the communications center.” However, Local sources explained that “Syrian Security forces entered the villages, with heavy gunfire causing fear among the residents, carrying out house raids, and arrested four young men whose whereabouts remain unknown.”
Local sources insist that the hardline faction remains entrenched in Qurfays. The village, whose residents rely heavily on agriculture, faced ongoing night curfews and movement restrictions since March, when it was hit by a wave of systematic forced displacements during the coastal massacres.
These new attacks open the door to several possibilities, especially amid a declared commitment by the transitional leadership to protecting civil peace and the formation of a specialized committee for that purpose in the coastal region, along with the establishment of a committee to investigate the massacres.
However, comments by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani and the transitional Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa have already preempted the results by blaming “remnants of the former regime.” The simplest of these possibilities is the continued failure of the authorities to fulfill their obligation to protect civilians, particularly in light of the unprecedented rise of extremist factions affiliated with the Defence Ministry, whom the US endorsed for it to be absorbed into Syria’s army.Back in March, Jolani’s Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorists had murdered over 1500 Alawites in calculated field executions.
