  • American destroyers deploy, awaiting green light to burn down the region for  terrorist Netanyahu

US official says that preparations under way for possible joint US-zionist attack on Iran only ‘if President Donald Trump gives the green light’.

i24NEWS diplomatic affairs correspondent Amichai Stein reports a US official stated: “Preparations are underway for the possibility of joining an attack on Iran—if President Donald Trump gives the green light.”

The same official noted that such a decision is typically made by the US Secretary of Defense, but in this case, it was Trump who approved the preparations and the decision to deploy forces in West Asia. The official added that “US Central Command believes joining the attack is necessary, but some senior administration officials currently oppose the move.”

NBC, citing US officials, reports that the Pentagon has accelerated the deployment of the aircraft carrier Nimitz and its accompanying warships to the region in response to the war between Iran and zionist colony. The decision was made “without delay” as Washington boosts its military posture in the region.

Other ships, including US Navy destroyers, are also heading to the region.

How the zionist colony censors media coverage of Iranian missile strikes

Since the start of Iran’s retaliatory strikes, the colony of zion has intensified media censorship, barring settlers and media outlets from sharing details or visual materials. On Saturday, the Military Censorship Office in the colony issued a warning to zionist citizens, stressing that publishing videos from crash sites after Iranian strikes is considered “aiding the enemy in times of war” and compromises state security. “You are urged to refrain from doing so,” the statement read. “If there are any open cameras near military or strategic sites, you are requested to turn them off.”

  • ‘Tel Aviv’ blocks evacuation flights as tens of thousands of zionist settlers stranded abroad

Netanyahu eloped the colony in private jet to Greece while zionist settlers crowded in bunkers, barred from escaping  the colony.

About 150,000 zionists are stranded abroad due to Tel Aviv’s war on Iran and the shutdown of all flights caused by Iranian retaliatory missile strikes against Israel.

Israeli authorities have launched a repatriation plan that has also barred Israelis from leaving. Rescue flights are not expected to start before 19 June at the earliest.

The new plan has been launched by Israel’s Transportation Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority to bring back the Israelis.

“The operation to return Israeli citizens residing abroad may begin toward the end of the week, and perhaps not until the beginning of next week. We are still studying the enemy, the patterns, to understand the ritual of the threats,” said the CEO of Israir, Uri Sirkis.

The Israeli airline noted that once the government and defense establishment approve the rescue flights, they can be booked online.

“The flights will only be operated for returning Israelis and Israelis [or any other passengers] will not be allowed to leave the country at this stage,” the CEO added.

Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev also confirmed the plan, dubbed Operation Safe Return, in a briefing, telling Israelis, “There is nothing to worry about.”

However, the plan has faced criticism. Oz Berlowitz, the CEO of the Arkia airline, said, “At this rate, the return of all Israelis could take many weeks and even longer,” and called it “far from providing a real solution to the situation.”

Arkia said later that it was setting up a special repatriation flight schedule.

The repatriation plan and order to bar Israelis from leaving come as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and military have been issuing urgent warnings calling for the evacuation of all settlers and an intensification of missile attacks, in response to the deadly US-backed war Tel Aviv launched against Tehran on 13 June.

Iran’s operations have so far inflicted widespread damage across Haifa and Tel Aviv. Dozens have been killed, and around 600 injured.

“The scope of the devastating response by brave Iranian fighters will cover all areas of the occupied territories,” an Iranian army spokesperson said on 16 June, warning that “real operations” have only just begun.

“We advise you to leave [Tel Aviv] immediately for your safety and security – and never return,” the IRGC said in a statement earlier on Monday.

zionist air force bombed the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) corporation, the country’s national broadcaster, during a live broadcast on 16 June.

According to IRIB Deputy for Political Affairs Hassan Abedini, several IRIB staffers were injured during the zionist attack.

“The Glass Building is currently undergoing fire suppression efforts, and initial assessments indicate several injuries among staff,” Abedini said. “Many employees managed to evacuate the building immediately after the strike.”

Minutes after the attack, IRIB anchor Sahar Emami—who was seen fleeing the live broadcast as the bombs dropped—reappeared on screen to continue reporting, all while the IRIB building was still on fire.

“The brave sons and daughters of our nation in national media declare with unwavering voice that our determination to play a decisive role in the hybrid war launched by the Zionist enemy has multiplied. Our will to deliver a strategic media defeat to the global front of disbelief remains unshaken,” IRIB President Dr. Peyman Jebelli said in a statement.

According to Article 79 of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions, journalists are protected even in the zone of military conflict.

However, since the start of the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army has become the leading cause of journalist deaths in the world, killing over 200 Palestinian journalists alone.

In 2024, the Israeli army was responsible for nearly 70 percent of all journalists killed throughout the world, the deadliest year for journalists globally, according to a report released on 12 February by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Iranian officials report that at least 224 people have been killed and over 1,200 injured due to the US-Israeli war against the country.

  • 20 Palestinians killed near Gaza aid centre as humanitarian crisis deepens

At least 20 Palestinians were killed and over 200 injured by zionist fire near a US aid distribution center in southern Gaza, the Gaza Civil Defense reported. Victims were waiting to receive food in Rafah when they were shot, with many transferred to field hospitals in Khan Younis. The bodies of the dead and most injured were taken to Nasser Hospital for burial.

Separately, two fishermen were shot dead by zionist naval forces off Gaza’s coast, and a dawn zionist airstrike targeted displaced persons’ tents near the port area in western Gaza City, causing more casualties.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks killed 55,432 Palestinians and injured 128,923, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

Medical Groups Condemn EU’s Empty Statements, Call for Action

Doctors Without Borders urged the European Union to move beyond “empty statements” and pressure Israel to stop war crimes in Gaza. They called for immediate humanitarian access and medical evacuations, highlighting that nearly 13,000 people—including over 4,500 critically ill—need urgent care.

The organization condemned countries continuing to supply Israel with weapons causing civilian casualties and long-term disabilities.

Meanwhile, the International Committee of the Red Cross warned of a sharp decline in Gaza’s healthcare capacity amid Israeli orders to evacuate key medical facilities, including Nasser Hospital. They stressed the worsening humanitarian conditions and urged protection for medical and emergency workers who faced repeated attacks.

UN Warns of Severe Hunger Crisis

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization and World Food Program warned that 2.1 million Palestinians in Gaza face critical risk of famine due to ongoing Israeli military operations, mass displacement, and restricted humanitarian aid.

The agencies said food shortages may reach record levels by September if the crisis continues unchecked.

  • Syria, an open arena for US-zionist interceptions

Despite the neutral stance adopted by the new Syrian government toward the ongoing war between Iran and the zionist entity, field sources told al-Akhbar that Syrian forces deployed along the Iraqi border opened fire late Saturday night toward positions belonging to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), in parallel with US helicopters flying along the border strip, aiming to bring down Iranian drones.

Sources from the Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, deployed in al-Bukamal and al-Mayadin in Deir al- Zor’s countryside, reported that orders had been issued from the capital placing military units on “full alert along the Syrian-Iraqi border.” These units were instructed to respond to any source of fire if PMF factions attempted to launch rockets toward US positions east of the Euphrates, specifically at the Omar and Conoco oil fields, despite US claims that both bases had been evacuated. Local sources in Deir al-Zor and al-Hasakah noted that US occupation bases in al-Shaddadi in Hasakah countryside and al-Tanf in Homs countryside participated in countering Iranian aircraft by launching surface-to-air missiles.

These developments also extend to southern Syria. Tribal sources from the provinces of Daraa, Sweida, and Quneitra told al-Akhbar that southern airspace witnessed intense Israeli activity aimed at intercepting Iranian strikes. Several drones were shot down over various areas, causing civilian injuries. In al-Sanmin in Daraa’s countryside, at least four people were injured when the remnants of an Iranian missile, intercepted by zionist defenses, landed in the basement of a house. Drones also fell in the villages of Hamar and Nafa’ah in Daraa countryside, and Ain al-Zibde in Quneitra countryside. According to field sources, “Internal Syrian security forces recovered the drone wreckage and transported it to the capital, without offering any explanation.”

Meanwhile, Syrian state and pro-government media reported that a woman was injured when a drone fell on a house in the village of al-Talaey in Tartous countryside. While the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) described the drone as “unidentified,” Syria TV, owned by the Doha-based Fadaat Media, claimed it was Iranian, without indicating the reason for its fall. Local sources confirmed that “the drone exploded mid-air after being intercepted by Israeli aircraft.”

According to information obtained by al-Akhbar from sources in multiple provinces, the number of injuries resulting from the interception of Iranian aircraft and missiles over Syrian territory reached nine, including eight in Daraa province and one in Tartous, all described as non-critical.
