Trump’s reckless adventurism against Iran turns US bases in West Asia into sitting targets
In a reckless escalation that has pushed American interests in the region to the brink of catastrophe, US President Donald Trump announced Sunday morning that American forces had launched strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” he claimed.
“All planes are now outside of Iranian airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, #Fordow.”
The assault came after days of inflammatory rhetoric from the increasingly erratic American president, who had repeatedly threatened direct military action against the Islamic Republic.
Earlier, the embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reportedly urged Trump to intervene following heavy losses sustained in Iranian missile and drone strikes.
In a statement issued after the attack, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) denounced the strikes as a “brutal and illegal assault” and pledged to pursue legal action through international channels.
As of now, Iran’s military leadership has yet to issue a formal response, though all eyes are on how Tehran will react to what is a clear declaration of war. Senior Iranian officials had previously warned the United States against entangling itself in Israel’s war against Iran.
In a message on Wednesday, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, reaffirmed that the Iranian nation will “firmly stand against an imposed war.”
“Those with wisdom, who truly understand Iran, its people, and its long history, never speak to this nation with the language of threats. Iran will not yield,” he said in response to Trump’s war rhetoric.
“The Americans must understand—any US military incursion will undoubtedly lead to irreversible consequences.”
Now, all options are reportedly on the table as Iran’s armed forces weigh a decisive response to the flagrant violation of both international law and Iranian sovereignty.Attention has turned to US military bases in the region, many of which could be potential targets for retaliation. Gaza: US-BACKED zion*st Tent and Humanitarian Aid Massacres Continue
As the z*onist occupation army shifts its operational focus following its war on Iran, it has filled the military vacuum in Gaza with a daily stream of massacres. On top of routine mass killings targeting civilians waiting for, or collecting, aid from US-backed distribution centers. Friday witnessed yet another atrocity: mass strikes on displaced families sheltering in tents in northwest Gaza City and Khan Younis.
These families had previously fled from Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, and neighborhoods stretching from Jabalia al-Balad to al-Tuffah and Shujaaiya. Forced into makeshift tents at intersections and streets across western Gaza, they are enduring horrific conditions, crowded spaces, no privacy, scarce hygiene supplies, limited clean water, and no proper bedding.
However, for over half a million forcefully displaced people, these hardships were not the end. The Israeli occupation army pursued them with suicide drones and incendiary missiles. In al-Jalaa Street, two people were martyred when a tent sheltering families was hit. Another airstrike on a gathering in al-Zaytoun, east of Gaza City, caused the martyrdom of three more. Near al-Helou Hospital in northwest Gaza, a man was martyred and several others injured when another tent was bombed. In Khan Younis, a girl was martyred and three others injured in an attack on their tent in Mawasi area.
Furthermore, in Sheikh Radwan, northwest Gaza City, reconnaissance drones bombed a tent used for charging phones, causing the martyrdom of seven and injuring others. Three displaced civilians also were martyred in Yarmouk camp on al-Wahda Street. That evening, Israeli warplanes struck tents in Darabieh camp, northwest Gaza, causing the martyrdom of seven more and injuring dozens. In Deir al-Balah camp, an airstrike on a home caused the martyrdom of 11 people and injured many others.
All these massacres took place in densely populated areas of displaced families, where thin sheets of nylon or cloth separated each tent, and each strike wiped entire families in seconds. Meanwhile, The occupation also maintained its daily slaughter of aid-seekers: thirty starving civilians were shot dead while waiting for food in the Netzarim area of central Gaza.
In parallel, the military media of Al-Qassam Brigades released footage showing fighters carrying out a successful ambush in the Zanna neighborhood east of Khan Younis. The video shows explosive devices detonated under occupation vehicles and two resistance fighters chasing an Israeli vehicle with light weapons, forcing it to retreat. Iran’s artists in the face of zion*st aggression
With the fall of Iranian creative martyrs in the zion*st aggression, artists gathered in Tehran to turn their canvases into messages of resistance. On social media platforms, creatives have worked to expose the savagery of the zionist entity and the “Western silence” about it, affirming that art is a weapon.
After assassinating a number of artists in Gaza, the zionist occupation’s hand reached Iranian artists, poets, and musicians, who joined the ranks of martyrs in the early days of the aggression on Iran.
On the second day of the attacks, visual artist Mansoureh Alikhani (1967–2025) was martyred in a zionist airstrike that targeted residential areas in Tehran.
Soon after, young graphic artist Saleh Bayrami was martyred in another strike on Quds Square in the Iranian capital, along with dozens of civilian men, women, and children. The strike also caused major damage to civilian infrastructure.
Mansoureh Alikhani: Between Heritage and Modernity
Alikhani was one of the most prominent students of master Kazem Chalipa (b. 1957) and was known for a style that blended Iranian artistic heritage with the spirit of modernity.
She studied painting at Al-Zahra University, then earned a master’s degree from Sooreh University, after which she began teaching at major academic institutions such as Kashan University of Arts and the Sooreh Higher Institute.
She headed the Artistic Skills Center at Sooreh University, led dozens of workshops, and participated in local and international exhibitions. She was also known for her expertise in art book illustration and aesthetic research, and she served on the juries of prestigious festivals, including the Alif wa Bismillah Festival.
One hundred creatives signed a joint statement condemning the “israeli” aggression.
In her final days, Alikhani had been working on a large painting inspired by the Karbala tragedy, intended for the upcoming Ashura commemoration.
But the zionist airstrike that targeted residential neighborhoods in Tehran ended her life and artistic journey. She was martyred alongside other innocent civilians.
A Shrapnel Killed Saleh Bayrami
On June 15, the Iranian art world lost renowned graphic designer Saleh Bayrami in a zionist airstrike on Niavaran Street at Quds Square in central Tehran. He was waiting at a traffic light when a piece of missile shrapnel struck him directly.
Bayrami worked as a designer for various cultural and artistic magazines and newspapers in Iran, leaving a distinct mark on the contemporary visual scene.
The magazine Andisheh Pouya mourned him with heartfelt words:
“Saleh Bayrami, the quiet young man with the constant smile, who was with us as a graphic designer from the very beginning, is no longer with us. He is now among the martyrs of the treacherous “israeli” aggression on the Islamic land of Iran.”
The General Directorate of Visual Arts at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance issued a statement mourning the two martyrs, Mansoureh Alikhani and Saleh Bayrami, and commended their artistic legacies.
It emphasized that Alikhani had devoted her art to Ashura themes and aesthetic commitment, while Bayrami continued his graphic design creativity and perseverance until his final moments.
The ministry stressed that their works would remain eternal in the memory of Iranian art.
