Saudi forces escalated their attacks on civilians in Yemen’s Sa’adah governorate on Sunday, killing one person and wounding three others in a series of separate incidents across border districts, according to local sources.
Almasirah net correspondent in Sa’adah reported that a civilian was shot dead by Saudi troops in the border district of Shada. The incident came just hours after three other civilians were injured when Saudi shelling struck the Al Thabit area in the border district of Qatabir.
The latest attacks occurred less than 24 hours after similar incidents on Saturday that left three people wounded and caused damage to civilian property.
On Friday, two civilians and an African migrant were also injured by Saudi fire, including one in Shada district. In a separate incident, an African migrant and another civilian sustained serious injuries near the Al Thabit area in Qatabir district.
Border districts in Sa’adah have witnessed repeated Saudi artillery and missile attacks over recent years, resulting in civilian casualties and extensive damage to public and private property. These incidents have continued amid what local officials describe as international silence, despite the Yemeni side’s stated commitment to supporting ongoing peace ef
forts.
