zionist occupation forces detain five Syrians near occupied Golan Heights.
z¿onist occupation forces have invaded the Syrian village of Taranga, advancing toward the outskirts of Jabatha al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, Syrian state media reported.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), a unit consisting of six zionist military vehicles entered the area from the direction of Tulul al-Humr on Saturday.
The convoy reportedly passed through the zone between Beit Jann and Hadar before reaching Taranga and continuing toward Jubata al-Khashab.
The vehicles were observed on the southern edge of Jubatha al-Khashab and on elevated terrain overlooking the town.
The incursion coincided with the presence of an unmanned aerial vehicle flying over the area. The force later moved toward the village of Ufania in the northern countryside of the province, the agency added.
The development followed a separate incident a day earlier, when Israeli occupation forces shelled the eastern Tel al-Ahmar area in southern Quneitra. According to local media, three rounds were fired, accompanied by machine-gun and medium-weapons fire.
On Wednesday, Israeli minister of military affairs, Israel Katz, pledged to continue military assaults across the region.
Israel “will continue its operations in Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and Yemen,” Hebrew-language daily newspaper Maariv quoted Katz as saying during a training course for Israeli Air Force pilots.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir were also in attendance.
“In Lebanon, we will continue to apply maximum force against Hezbollah; in Syria, Israel will not withdraw from Mount Hermon (Jabal al-Sheikh) and the [so-called] security zone; and in the Gaza Strip, Israel remains committed to dismantling Hamas and disarming the territory,” he added.
Israel has repeatedly conducted acts of aggression across Syrian territory since the collapse of former President Bashar al-Assad’s government late last year.
Netanyahu has instructed his forces to advance further into Syrian territory to capture multiple critical strategic positions in the area.
Israel has extended its occupation in Syria by taking over the buffer zone that divides the occupied Golan Heights from the rest of the country, effectively violating the 1974 disengagement agreement.
Analysts warn that the inaction of Syria’s ruling Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), coupled with its moves toward normalizing ties with Tel Aviv, has emboldened Israel to expand its territorial presence in Syria and escalate airstrikes in the region.
Despite HTS’s pledges of cooperation with Tel Aviv, Israel has remained unwilling to withdraw from Syria.
PressTV report
zionist occupation forces detained five Syrian men from Deraa on Sunday while they were gathering wild mushrooms in agricultural fields near the village of Kudna, in southern Quneitra, close to the occupied Golan Heights.
Local sources told North Press that soldiers apprehended the men in the fields, destroyed their motorcycles, and forced them into military vehicles before transporting them toward the Golan, without providing any explanation for the arrests.
State-run Al-Ikhbariya TV confirmed the detainees were from Deraa and were seized while searching for mushrooms.
The incident comes amid intensified Israeli military activity in southern Syria, particularly in Quneitra, where near-daily incursions have included arrests, checkpoints, and the destruction of forested areas, fueling local anger.
Earlier Sunday, the Israeli army said Reserve Brigade 55 had concluded nearly three months of “operations” in the region, even as such actions continue to be reported.
