A Yemeni civilian was killed and two others were wounded on Friday by Saudi fire in Sa’adah province, according to local sources.
Almasirah’s correspondent in Sa’adah reported that a young man was shot dead near the Al Thabit area in the border district of Qatabir. Two other civilians were injured in separate incidents: one in the border district of Shada, and another near the Al Sheikh area in the border district of Monabbih.
The correspondent added that two civilians were also injured on Saturday, one of them critically, near the Al Sheikh area in Monabbih district, as a result of continued Saudi shelling and gunfire targeting border areas.
The latest incident comes amid ongoing Saudi attacks on civilian-populated border districts in Sa’adah, which have repeatedly resulted in civilian casualties and damage to property. Local authorities and rights groups say the violations persist despite a prolonged international silence over what they describe as systematic attacks on civilians in Yemen’s northern border regions.
