Aleppo Province: SOHR activists reported the death of a woman from severe injuries sustained during shelling in Al-Sheikh Maqsoud, while seven more civilians, including a girl, were wounded amid ongoing exchanges of fire and tank shelling targeting Al-Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah.

With these new casualties, the total number of civilians injured has reached 23, and the figure may rise further as clashes continue.

In a related development, residents of Al-Khalidiya, Al-Halak, and Bustan Al-Basha neighbourhoods have begun displacing towards safer areas, amid concerns over a widening of the clashes and continued targeting near residential neighbourhoods.

So far, there is no information regarding material damage, amid fears that the number of casualties may increase if the escalation continues.

After seven injured people, including two Civil Defence members, were taken to Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo due to the shelling and clashes, the total number of injured has risen to 16.

Earlier SOHR reported that violent clashes renewed this evening in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafieh neighbourhoods of Aleppo city, between forces affiliated with the interim government on one side and the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” on the other, amid a notable military escalation and the use of heavy weapons and mortar shells.
According to SOHR local sources, interim government forces targeted Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafieh with mortar shells and heavy machine guns of the “DShK” type, in parallel with direct clashes on several fronts inside the two neighbourhoods, causing widespread panic among civilians.

In the same context, SOHR sources reported that seven injured people were taken to Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo city, including two members of the Civil Defence, as a result of the shelling and ongoing clashes.

Meanwhile, the Gaziantep–Aleppo road was closed from the Al-Layramoun roundabout side, following sniper fire attributed to SDF targeting the vicinity of Sheihan Roundabout, amid heightened security deployment.

SOHR sources confirmed the closure of several vital roads in the city, including:

Aleppo city – Al-Layramoun road

Al-Layramoun – Industrial City road

Al-Suryan – Al-Ashrafieh road

Industrial City – Al-Jandoul road

Local sources also warned residents against heading towards Handarat Camp at this time, due to the danger of the route and its closure as a result of the ongoing clashes.

Clashes and shelling are still ongoing until now, amid fears of further escalation and a rise in the number of casualties in the coming hours.
