Despite Israel’s defending these acts of aggression under the banner of targeting Hezbollah, under international humanitarian law, Israel has no legal right to target Hezbollah members unless they are directly participating in hostilities; attacks against them while hors de combat (or not engaged in combat) would violate the principle of distinction and constitute unlawful targeting.

The southern Lebanon border region has long been a flashpoint in zionist colony’s occupation and war front all of which has increased the humanitarian toll impacting border communities already affected by displacement and economic insecurity.
