z#onist drones dropped four grenades near UNIFIL personnel in southern Lebanon as they worked to clear roadblocks along the border, the force announced today.

The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) described the Tuesday morning strike as “one of the most serious attacks on UNIFIL personnel and assets” since November’s ‘ceasefire.’

According to UNIFIL, the grenades landed close to the UNIFIL members while they were clearing roadblocks obstructing access to a UN position along the border. One grenade landed within 20 meters of personnel, while three others fell within about 100 meters of troops and vehicles. The drones were then seen heading back toward Israel.

UNIFIL noted that zionist forces had been informed in advance of the road clearance mission.
