At least 20 were killed and 52 wounded in a suicide bombing at St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church in Damascus’s Dweila area, according to the Syrian Health Ministry. Syrian media reported that the attacker detonated an explosive belt amid worshippers.

The Interior Ministry said the attacker, affiliated with ISIS or Jolani’s Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorists, opened fire inside the church before blowing himself up. Security forces cordoned off the area, and forensic teams began investigations.
