Iranian Navy intercepts British warship in Sea of Oman

The Iranian military announced that its naval forces intercepted a British destroyer in the Sea of Oman and forced it to retreat after a 24-hour surveillance operation.

According to a statement from the public relations office of the First Naval Region of Iran’s Navy, the British destroyer was detected entering the northern Indian Ocean last night. The statement said the vessel was allegedly planning to “guide zionist colony missiles.”

Combat drones from Iran’s navy reportedly issued direct warnings to the British ship, blocked its approach toward the Gulf waters, and forced it to change course.

Earlier today, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer had announced plans to send military equipment to the Middle East amid rising tensions between Iran and the colony.
