As the US-zionist war against Iran rages for a second day, senior Iranian officials have vowed to escalate attacks on US, British, and French military positions.
On 14 June, Iranian state media published warnings from Iranian authorities directed at the US, UK, and France, saying that their regional military bases and naval vessels will be targeted if they intervene to stop Iranian strikes on Israel
“Any country that participates in repelling Iranian attacks on Israel will be subject to the targeting of all regional bases of the complicit government, including military bases in the Persian Gulf countries and ships and naval vessels in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea by Iranian forces,” a statement quoted by Mehr News Agency says.
“This confrontation will not end with last night’s limited actions and Iran’s strikes will continue, and this action will be very painful and regrettable for the aggressors,” senior military officials told Fars News Agency.
They added that in the coming days, the war would spread to “all areas” throughout Israel and “US bases in the region”
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz was quoted in a statement warning that “Tehran will burn” if missiles continue to be launched at Israel, as back-and-forth fire continues for a second straight day.
Katz accused Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of “turning the citizens of Iran into hostages,” and added that the residents of Tehran “will pay a heavy price because of the criminal harm to Israeli civilians.”
A large-scale Israeli air offensive on 13 June targeting Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure and personnel killed dozens of people, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief Hossein Salami, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and several nuclear scientists.
Hundreds more were wounded, most of them civilians.
The strikes reportedly caused damage to nuclear sites in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, and hit residential areas in Tehran, leading to civilian casualties, though no nuclear leaks have been reported to date.
Described by Iranian authorities as a “declaration of war,” Iran launched multiple waves of retaliatory strikes, including ballistic missiles and drone attacks on Israeli military sites, warning that any further escalation would extend to US and allied assets in the region.
Iran’s counterattack, dubbed “Operation True Promise III,” reportedly resulted in at least three civilian deaths and more than 60 injuries as multiple missiles bypassed the Iron Dome defense system and struck urban areas in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa, causing damage to homes and infrastructure.
Israeli officials confirmed damage to both residential and military sites, but reported limited fatalities.
