Nearly 7,670 Syrians killed since Assad’s fall

Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, revealed that around 7,670 Syrians—including over 5,000 civilians—have been killed since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. He told Kurdistan 24 that executions and arrests continue to dominate the scene in Syria, citing public field executions of 1,600 civilians in March alone, blaming Syrian Defence and Interior ministries. He named Abu Amsha, Abu Bakr, and Sultan Murad—all on terror lists—who are now reportedly operating within Syria’s defense and interior ministries

He warned the EU against repatriating Syrians under current conditions and criticized both Arab countries and the US for supporting the new regime, which he says will fail if it continues its current policies. The EU and US have sanctioned Abu Amsha and Abu Bakr and their factions for war crimes and rights abuses.
