US approves the sale of air-to-air missiles to Turkey worth over $300 million. According to Anadolu Agency, the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress the approved deals by the State Department.

The first includes 53 advanced medium-range AMRAAM missiles and 6 guidance units, valued at approximately $225 million. The second covers 60 AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II missiles, 11  AIM-9X Block II tactical guidance units, and related logistical and software support, totaling $79.1 million.

The missiles are intended for various missions, particularly on F-16K fighter jets.
