Lebanon’s Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar reported 143 security incidents during Sunday’s municipal elections in North Lebanon and Akkar. Authorities received 675 complaints, including 120 cases of altercations and seven arrests for rioting and bribery. Fifteen vote-buying cases are under investigation, along with one attempted fraud. Gunfire during voting led to injuries, and 34 individuals were detained by the army. Vote counting continues and is expected to conclude by tonight.
