Europe Approves Special Court for Aggression Against Ukraine and €1 Billion Military Industry Support –
Kyiv’s European allies agreed to set up a special court for the “crime of aggression against Ukraine” and allocate one billion euros from frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine’s arms production. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry welcomed the step after a meeting in Lviv.
The participants emphasized the court’s role in holding those responsible for the war accountable, ahead of a Council of Europe meeting in Luxembourg on May 13-14 to formalize the court.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced one billion euros to support Ukraine’s military industry. A summit of European leaders is set for tomorrow in Kyiv. Moscow condemned using frozen assets to fund Ukraine, calling it “theft.”
