Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP that 185 people have been killed since Thursday, including 45 pro-Assad fighters and 50 security personnel.
Syrian Network for Human Rights head Fadel Abdul Ghani told Alaraby TV that 125 civilians were killed by security forces in Latakia, Tartus, and Hama, while pro-Assad forces killed 100 security personnel and 15 civilians. He noted mass field executions and serious abuses.
The Supreme Alawite Islamic Council in Latakia urged the Arab League to send observers and put an end to human rights violations, claiming Alawites face systematic persecution and genocide by Syria’s ruling factions.
Internationally, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned the violence and instability in Syria. In Lebanon, MP Haidar Nasser said the Syrian coast is bearing the cost of foreign wars, claiming 1,700 people were killed in a single day amid global silence.
