The Zionist enemy boob-trapped seven houses in the northeastern sector of Yaroun border town. Later on, the ‘Israeli’ occupation forces detonated a number of houses in Yaroun and Mays Al-Jabal border towns.
The Israeli occupation forces erected surveillance equipment in Mount Blat area in preparation to keep troops there after February 18.
Al Manar report
Al-Manar TV’s editor of Hebrew affairs Hasan Hejazi said that the ‘Israeli’ enemy insists on keeping troops in South Lebanon in order to blackmail Lebanon and achieve more gains in return for its full withdrawal.
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri says Lebanon has categorically dismissed Israel’s plan to remain in five locations in the country’s south beyond the next week’s withdrawal deadline under a ceasefire deal.
“I informed them in my name and on behalf of President General Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Judge Nawaf Salam of our absolute rejection” of the proposal.
Speaker Nabil Berri
“It is the responsibility of the Americans to enforce the withdrawal, otherwise, they will have caused the greatest setback for the government,” he emphasized.
He also warned that the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Lebanese soil is “completely unacceptable” as Hezbollah is “fully committed” to the ceasefire.
Al Masirah report
Al Akhbar reported that the Ceasefire Agreement Implementation Monitoring Committee rejected the deployment of Lebanese army in border towns that are still under Israeli occupation before February 25, despite Lebanon’s rejection of “Israel’s” request to extend its presence in the south beyond February 18.
