Licking Zionist boots:
Lebanese Ministry of Public Works’ Media Office says,
• We are closely monitoring the Iranian flight issue. Those wishing to return can use any nearby country based on available circumstances, at no additional cost.
• Ensuring Rafic Hariri International Airport operates smoothly according to the highest international standards is a top priority, as it is vital for Lebanon’s connectivity.
• The Ministry will take the necessary measures to restore air travel between Lebanon and Iran in accordance with international standards, serving national interest and achieving intended goals.
Iranian Foreign Ministry:
• The threat against the civilian aircraft carrying Lebanese citizens by ‘Israel’ is a continuation of its repeated and blatant violations of international law and Lebanon’s national sovereignty.
• We call for urgent action from international organizations, including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to halt Israel’s dangerous actions that jeopardize the safety and security of civil aviation.
The Lebanese government requested the replacement of the Iranian aircraft, and we welcome the resumption of Lebanese airline flights, but not at the expense of canceling Iranian flights.
Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon
We are open to the government’s request, provided that no obstacles are placed on Iranian flights. We are committed to restoring both Iranian and Lebanese flights to their previous status.
