The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has warned of the increasing forced displacement operations carried out by ‘Israeli’ forces in the occupied West Bank, describing them as a reproduction of the genocide committed in the Gaza Strip.
The organization reported that it has been closely monitoring the latest waves of forced displacement executed by the Israeli army on Saturday and Sunday, affecting hundreds of Palestinians from Al-Fara’a refugee camp in Tubas. It condemned these actions as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which explicitly prohibits the forced displacement of civilian populations.
“Since February 2, the Israeli army has been waging a large-scale assault on Al-Fara’a camp and the town of Tammun in Tubas, involving raids, destruction of homes and infrastructure, and the imposition of a strict curfew,” the statement read.
The monitor further noted that over the past two days, forced displacement has intensified due to starvation tactics, siege, and threats of bombing homes, forcing hundreds of families to flee through paths dictated by Israeli forces under conditions that violate human dignity.
According to the organization, Israel is employing new methods of genocide in the West Bank, primarily through mass forced displacement. It highlighted that more than 13,000 Palestinians have been expelled from Jenin refugee camp and over 11,000 from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps—marking one of the most extensive forced displacement operations in decades.
The report also pointed out that Israeli aggression has not been limited to displacement alone but has included widespread destruction of homes, the detonation and burning of residential structures, and the cutting off of electricity, water, and communication services—deliberate measures aimed at creating unbearable living conditions to drive Palestinians out.
In just 19 days, Israeli forces have killed 35 Palestinians, including five children and two women, while injuring around 300 others in what the monitor described as a dangerous escalation.
The organization warned that Israel’s long-standing impunity, coupled with the international community’s failure to hold it accountable for the genocide in Gaza, is encouraging further aggression in the West Bank and the commission of similar crimes.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called for urgent international intervention to halt Israel’s military operations in the occupied West Bank and ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians. It also urged the global community to take a firm stance against Israel’s repeated attempts to annex the West Bank and impose its sovereignty over the territory.

According to the group B’Tselem, settlers “attacked communities almost every night last week, sometimes with soldiers standing by.”
“Since the ceasefire began on January 19, we have been seeing more military raids on cities and villages in the West Bank, so far killing dozens of people,” B’Tselem added, posting a video showing attacks conducted by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories during the past months.
“This is not what ceasefire looks like,” it stressed.
In their latest attack in the West Bank, Israeli forces shot dead a young man in the Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm on Sunday night.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the victim as 20-year-old Eyas Adli Fakhri al-Akhras. His death brings to three the number of those killed on Sunday.
That came as Israeli forces had stormed the camp in the early hours of Friday, raiding the residents’ homes.
Settlers attack Palestinians near Nablus
Also on Sunday, Israeli settlers attacked a number of Palestinians in Khirbet al-Marajem, south of Nablus.
The head of the village council in Duma, Suleiman Dawabsheh, said a group of settlers physically assaulted Palestinians in Khirbet al-Marajem, and wreaked havoc and cut down olive trees in the area.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, a Palestinian governmental commission affiliated to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), reveled last week that Israeli forces and settlers had carried out 2,161 attacks against Palestinians in January.
Two days after a ceasefire took effect in Gaza, the Israeli military launched its offensive on the occupied West Bank on January 21, claiming that it was targeting resistance fighters.
On January 15, the Israeli regime, having failed to achieve any of its war objectives including the “elimination” of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas or the release of captives, was forced to agree to a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
