Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain
Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized billionaire Elon Musk on Wednesday for interfering in European politics, accusing him of threatening democracy.
“The international far-right that we have been opposing in Spain for years, led in this case by the richest man on the planet, openly attacks our institutions, incites hatred, and openly supports the heirs of Nazism in Germany,” Sanchez said, referring to Musk without directly naming him.
Musk, who is set to act as an external advisor to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump with a focus on government streamlining, drew attention to Spanish affairs on Sunday by commenting on X about an article claiming that most rape convictions in Catalonia were committed by foreigners.
