Focal point Syria

In the southern countryside of Aleppo, the town of Safira is on the verge of a humanitarian crisis, as armed groups have blocked civilians from leaving and have prevented aid from entering the area, according to an Al Mayadeen correspondent.

A statement issued by the Syrian government’s official social media channels following a follow-up meeting at the Prime Minister’s office revealed that the discussions focused on the situation in Aleppo. The meeting addressed potential strategies for continuing to provide services to citizens in Aleppo province and across Syria.

This comes “in light of the terrorist groups reaching some government and service departments in Aleppo, where they intimidated employees and prevented them from continuing to serve citizens.”
