Israeli Channel 12 has reported that the Israeli occupation army is said to be preparing for operations in Syria on account of the situation amid rising tensions in the region. According to the outlet, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held urgent security consultations last night to address developments in Syria.

This comes after Netanyahu warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the announcement of the Lebanon ceasefire against “playing with fire,” specifically cautioning against allowing weapons to pass through Syria to the Lebanese Resistance. Netanyahu vowed to destroy Syria if it continued its support for the Resistance.

Since the terrorist groups’ attacks in the past few days, the Syrian army has been targeting terrorist positions and movements in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment, with hundreds of terrorists killed so far.
