For over two months, “Israel” unleashed its full arsenal in a relentless war on Lebanon, aiming to crush its spirit and impose its will. Today, that war ends—not in triumph for the aggressor, but in a resounding testament to the strength of the Resistance and the resilience of the Lebanese people. The agreement mirrors the outcome of the 2006 war: the implementation of UN Resolution 1701, with its enforcement entrusted solely to the Lebanese Army, free of foreign interference or external forces.
What all Lebanese must recognize is that it was “Israel”, facing the unshakable resistance on the battlefield, that sent American intermediaries to Beirut, desperate for negotiations. The initial demand to enforce Resolution 1559, stripping Lebanon of its strength, transformed to focus on 1701, thanks to the courage of the Resistance fighters and the wisdom of the political leadership. Speaker Nabih Berri, working in close coordination with the Resistance, stood firm, anchoring negotiations within the boundaries of Lebanon’s sovereignty and resilience. The enemy’s dreams of redrawing the region’s map and reshaping Lebanon’s political reality crumbled, leaving them with nothing but the terms they had tried to change.
Today, as the displaced return to their villages, cities, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, they do so with unbroken resolve. They will mourn their martyrs, rebuild their homes, and raise the banners of victory high over the ruins of the enemy’s ambitions.
