Ministry: 24 martyrs and 71 injuries  in the past 24-hour period & no more bakeries in Khan Younis

Over 21 martyrs have ascended across the Gaza Strip since dawn today as the cold and rain of winter steps in, with the water destroying thousands of tents.

The siege of the northern Gaza Strip continues for over 50 days, with continuous shelling northwest of Gaza City, west of Beit Lahia, and other areas.

Warplanes carried out several airstrikes south of Gaza City and Nusseirat at dawn, coinciding with shooting in Bureij and north of Nusseirat in the central Gaza Strip, wounding several and resulting in the destruction of three homes.

Drones carried out strikes east of Rafah, resulting in four martyrs and several wounded. A martyr ascended in Khan Younis, succumbing to their wounds from two days ago. Drone strikes in the south continued into the afternoon, along with shelling north and west of Nusseirat..

Thousands of tattered tents were destroyed, leaving the displaced on the beach in the wet and cold conditions without a place to go.

As the siege of the north intensifies, the IOF burned down homes in Saftawi near Jabalia and demanded the evacuation of Beit Lahia residents. At this time, a martyr ascended in Jabalia Al-Nazal after the IOF bombed a group of citizens, which was followed by a second targeting, resulting in 5 martyrs and wounding a child.

An airstrike bombed east of Gaza City, and then two martyrs ascended west of Gaza City after a group of displaced people did as they were asked by the IOF and evacuated south. 6 were wounded in Beit Lahia due to shelling.

Despite the evacuation orders, IOF helicopters and drones patrolled around Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, shooting at anything that moves. A martyr was recovered from Bureij around 2:00 PM, followed by a bombing of a residential building in Nusseirat. In Beit Lahia, a martyr ascended by a drone strike.

Shelling resulted in the wounding of several citizens south of Gaza City and one martyr, coinciding with demolitions in Jabalia (and east of Rafah) and yet another airstrike and drone shooting in the central Strip. Another martyr was recovered from Bureij. Warplanes then carried out a strike in Saftawi, and a drone strike in Al-Shati’. The Shati’ strike resulted in 3 martyrs and several wounded.

In Rafah, the Civil Defense recovered two martyrs and two wounded.

The only bakery in Khan Younis has been shut down, worsening the suffering of over 1.2 million people.

The Gaza Government Media Office attributes this to Israel’s “starvation policy,” which has caused most goods to vanish from markets in both the southern and northern Gaza Strip. This has led to skyrocketing prices and a deepening bread crisis.

Since the beginning of the ongoing genocide, more than 250,000 aid trucks have been blocked, intensifying the humanitarian disaster.
