Satellite images reveal the extensive destruction in South Lebanon’s towns like Yaroun and Kfar Kila, which have borne the brunt of ‘Israeli’ airstrikes over the course of one year.

An analysis of satellite data by The Washington Post revealed that nearly a quarter of buildings across 25 municipalities near the occupied Palestinian borders have been damaged or destroyed as of October 26, highlighting the profound impact of the brutal Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the Lebanese people.

Since October, entire neighborhoods have been flattened, leaving critical infrastructure in ruins and many areas nearly uninhabitable. In more detail and using satellite imagery, the NYT verified that 1,085 buildings were leveled or badly damaged in areas along Lebanon’s southern border, including the villages of Mays al-Jabal, Ayta al-Shaab, Blida, and Kfar Kila.

According to satellite data, about 25 per cent of all buildings in southern Lebanon have been destroyed or damaged by the IOF.

“Controlled demolitions” targeted and destroyed at least nine religious sites. The IOF has no problem bombing ancient cities such as Sour and Baalbek, or even sites important to Judaism.

Like the ancient mosques and castles destroyed in Gaza, the IOF completely destroyed the historic mosque of Prophet Shu’ayb in Blida, one of the largest mosques in Jabal Amel. In front of it is a well believed to be from where Prophet Musa (Moses) watered Shu’ayb’s sheep and provided water for several nearby towns. It was believed to be a pagan temple, which began Christian, and then the first mosque in Jabal Amel, and even a garrison during the Crusades.

In Mhaibib, the IOF also completely destroyed the Shrine of Prophet Benjamin, the son of Prophet Jacob, which has significant religious and historical value in Judaism.

In Aita Al-Shaab and Kfar Kila, half of all buildings were severely damaged, affecting nearly 6,000 buildings. The report adds that 80 per cent of the damage is from the last month.

The number of martyrs in Lebanon is nearly 3,000, with about 200 of them being paramedics, deliberately targeted by the IOF. RNN

According to reliable reports by Al Mayadeen and Al Manar, the Zionist IOF, despite being over 70.000 troops strong on the Lebanese border, have not managed to reach even the first two kilometres into Lebanese ground.
