Mohammed-Bagher Ghalibaf, current Speaker of Iranian Parliament, visited some of the areas bombed in the southern Dahiye of Beirut earlier today. Notably, he piloted the plane in which he arrived in Beirut himself.
This visit comes one week after Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, visited Beirut himself to reiterate Iran’s support for the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and affirm that the “israel” and its western partners would not decide the political fate of the region.
According to the Iranian Red Crescent, Ghalibaf’s visit was accompanied by the delivery of medical devices and other supplies to Lebanon. Over 8,000 specialized doctors across Iran have declared their readiness to mobilize to Lebanon if necessary – RNN.

Upon his arrival, Ghalibaf stated, “I’m here to send a message from the people, leader, and president of Iran to the people of Lebanon that, as always, we stand with the Lebanese people, government, and Resistance, and will stay by their side in difficult conditions.”
Ghalibaf is set to travel to Geneva next, where he will participate in an Inter-Parliamentary Union assembly. There, he plans to discuss a shared “duty” to support the Palestinian and Lebanese people with his counterparts – Al Mayadeen.
