The Complex holds a significant meaning for many people, as it has served for years as the main hub for the Southern Suburb’s religious, cultural, and political gatherings.
This strike by the Israeli occupation shows that the Israeli aggression aims to target anything that holds cultural value for the people – Al Mayadeen.
The Israeli enemy has struck a mosque beside a hospital in south Lebanon, adding to a growing list of civilian infrastructure it has targeted in the country.
The Israeli military claimed Hezbollah fighters were present inside the mosque when it was targeted, but no evidence has been given.

Last night’s airstrikes killed Al-Jamaa Al-Islamiya official and Al-Qassam commander in Western Bekaa and in a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon.
An Israeli strike targeted a house in Al-Rafid town in Western Bekaa, killing the director of Al-Abrar school Ali Al-Hajj.
Another Israeli strike targeted a residential apartment in the Beddawi camp for Palestinian refugees in the northern city of Tripoli, killing four people of the same family, including Al-Qassam commander Saeed Atallah Ali.
Hamas mourned the martyrdom of Ali, his wife, and their two children, emphasizing that their upcoming responses to the occupation would prioritize “actions before words.”
Earlier on Friday, Lebanese Health Ministry announced that more than 2,000 people have been martyred since the Zionist enemy launched its brutal aggression in Lebanon on September 23.
Among the martyrs, there were 127 children and 261 women, the ministry added.
The World Health Organization said on Saturday that 73 health workers have lost their lives due to the ongoing Israeli attacks, warning that Lebanon is grappling with a severe health crisis.
