The city of Al-Kut in Iraq held a symbolic funeral procession for martyr Sayyed Hassan, Secretary-General of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, who was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut’s Southern Suburb.
During the funeral procession, participants marched as some played the rhythmic beats of drums and the resonant sounds of trumpets. Many also held the flags of Iraq and Lebanon, symbolizing unity and solidarity across borders, while others carried a poignant portrait of Sayyed Hassan – Al Mayadeen video.

With the passing of the Secretary-General, the Palestinian Cause has lost a dear supporter to say the least.
