“SETTLERS IN THE NORTH
HAVE NOT RETURNED YET,
METULLA AND MANARA
HAVEN’T BEEN REBUILT,
AND REALITY ON THE
GROUND IS STILL HARSH”
Israeli media
The destruction caused yesterday in “Metulla” was described as the largest since the start of the war.
Over 50 settler houses have been damaged in the settlement overnight due to heavy rockets launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon, bringing the total number of damaged houses since the start of the war to around 300, which is about half of the settlement’s houses, according to the zionist newspaper “Israel Hayom.” RNN
This follows Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan’s televised speech, where he challenged Netanyahu to return the Israeli settlers to northern occupied Palestine.
Addressing the broader strategy of Israeli leadership, Sayyed Hassan questioned Netanyahu’s ability to resolve the displacement crisis in the north, stating, “Can Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu return the settlers to the north? We are taking this on as a challenge knowing full well they can’t, regardless of the course of action they take.”
Sayyed Hassan added, “What you are doing will increase the displacement of your displaced settlers from the north and will bar the opportunity of their return.”
He further pointed out that the only way the enemy could return the displaced settlers would be to end the aggression on Gaza and the occupied West Bank, vowing to continue its operations until the aggression ends, “regardless of the prospective sacrifices and repercussions.” Al Mayadeen.
