‘Urgent appeal’ to help those affected by devastating floods in Yemen

Entire communities have been affected by the catastrophic floods that hit the governorates of Al Mahwit, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Rima, Marib, and Taiz. Preliminary information indicates dozens of casualties and missing persons, more than 56,000 homes damaged, and damage to civilian infrastructure, roads, and water supply systems.
We appeal to the international community, including donors and Gulf states, to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the affected areas. The situation is critical, and immediate action is necessary to save lives and prevent further suffering.
We urge all parties involved in the conflict to put aside their differences and prioritize humanitarian needs – ReliefWeb report.
