Ansarallah spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam:
After several international parties, particularly European ones, contacted us, permission was granted for them to tow the burned oil tanker “Sounion.”
We affirm that the burning of the “Sounion” ship is an example of Yemen’s seriousness in targeting any ship that violates the Yemeni blockade decision.
The decision to prevent ships from passing to the ports of occupied Palestine aims to pressure the zionist enemy entity to stop its aggression on Gaza.
Ships belonging to companies linked to the zionist enemy entity will remain vulnerable to strikes from the Yemeni Armed Forces until the aggression and siege on Gaza stop – Resistance News Network.
The oil tanker was targeted by the YAF last week, with the Armed Forces spokesperson confirming that the vessel is owned by a company that deals with the Israeli occupation entity. He pointed out that the vessel was struck with accuracy while navigating in the Red Sea and is at risk of sinking – Al Mayadeen.
