The ceasefire discussions for the 16-month conflict in Sudan are supported by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, and as with Gaza, sponsored by the War Nation, the US.

The UAE supports the paramilitary Rapid Response Forces, which wages a war against the Sudanese governmental military with the provision of weapons and logistics and military advice. These are ideal grounds to prolong a war that has taken an immense toll on civilians.
