“After investigating the killing of one of the enemy’s prisoners at the hands of his guard, it was found that the guard acted out of revenge, contrary to instructions, after receiving the news of his two children being killed in one of the Israeli massacres.

“We affirm that the incident does not represent our ethics or the teachings of our religion in dealing with prisoners. We will tighten instructions following the recurrence of the incident in two cases so far.

“We hold the enemy fully responsible for all the suffering and dangers faced by its prisoners due to its violation of all standards of humane and human treatment and its practice of brutal extermination against our people.”
