Crimes committed on 30 July 2015, Yaman Yoon report.

Following consecutive airstrikes over the course of three days, on 30 July 2018, the UN said Hodeida is “one airstrike away from an unstoppable” cholera epidemic and that the Saudi airstrikes in Yemen had hit key water station near Hodeida. The UN humanitarian coordinator said that Saudi airstrikes carried out in the renewed offensive struck near health centres in Hodeida and “hit and damaged” a sanitation and water station in Zabid, south of the city. The water station “supplies the majority of the water” to Hodeida, Lise Grande said.
Hodeida city and governorate are one of the epicenters of a cholera outbreak that spread across the country last year (2017), leading to more than one million suspected cases of the deadly water-borne disease.
“Damage to sanitation, water and health facilities jeopardizes everything that we are trying to do…We could be one airstrike away from an unstoppable epidemic,” Grande said.
Intentionally striking health or water facilities is considered a war crime under international law. The United States controversially provides Saudi jets air refueling, targeted guidance support and intelligence, as well as precision guided munitions and other weaponry.
Human rights groups have repeatedly accused the Houthis and Saudi-led coalition of war crimes during the war, which has killed more than 10,000 people.
