A US-initiated move to suspend operations at banks in Ansar Allah-ruled areas and to block the $1.5bn in civil servant salaries by Riyadh to be paid in Ansar Allah-ruled areas as part of a UN peace deal jeopardises Yemen’s economy and its capability.

The exercised pressure by the US is intended to manipulate and trigger a cessation of Ansar Allah actions in support of the Palestinian people.

Reckless US actions threaten the peace efforts between Riyadh and Yemen, and it diminishes the invaluable Yemeni accomplishments to raise awareness for the Gaza assault.
