The 15th May is the day of the catastrophe, or, in other words, the day the apartheid regime’s purge started. Israel’s independence day is deeply rooted in the genocide of the people of Palestine.
In essence, the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians started earlier. However, the people of Palestine commemorate the catastrophe on the 15th of May as the large-scale genocide commenced one day after Israel declared its independence.
With this, around 700.00 – 800.000 people were driven out of their homes, and some 520 villages had been occupied.
Mass murder and rape had been committed by the settlers and their army.
