#OnThisDay (2003) The invasion of Iraq by a US-led coalition, joined by its main partner in genocide – the UK

Unspeakable crimes against humanity had been committed, leaving over 1 million deaths, with the aim to privatise oil sales and reinstall the American $ currency in Iraq.

Julian Assange once famously said,’ If wars can be started by lies, then peace could be achieved by telling the truth’.

As it turns out, the Iraq war was based on a big Western lie.

The leaders of the West claimed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and was posing a danger to the West.

Neither was true. Contrary, it was the West, which posed a danger to West Asia in general and in particular to Iraq.

Millions of people all over the world stormed the streets in protest. But the effort did not prevent the catastrophe and the ensuring establishment of the ISIS, who took advantage of the destabilisation caused by the West.
